Park Plaza Budapest

This hotel needs a huge renovation,views from the rooms are amazing,room itself was spacious but outdated to the max it looks like is falling in pieces,outdated furniture and walls all damaged even a hole in one of the bathroom walls, bath tub is so narrow that feels uncomfortable on top of that the bathroom fixtures are all loose and rusted. Another thing I didn’t like is that the offer a valet parking service,that is not true at all because in my case I was leaving at 6:00 am and asked for my car to be brought to me and was told by the front desk that they had no one and I had to go and get it myself,this is after paying 25 euros a day to use the supposed valet service,I think I should at least be refunded half of the two days I paid for,another thing is the darkness in the hallway and damaged pictures that I don’t know how they still hanging on the wall because they are broken which is dangerous to kids walking by and can get cut,the other bad one is that none of the people working on my floor even said hello or good morning when they saw me ,they didn’t even acknowledge me. Front desk people need a bit more of customer service skills,they seem overwhelmed and frustrated with some customers and I even saw how they mistreated not only me but others. The bellboy that took care of my luggage and car because he was the bellboy and valet parking at the same time,he was really nice ,the way he behaved is the way all other employees should behave.

The hotel was very pleasant. The breakfast was very good and had plenty of choice. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Room was clean but very warm, despite trying to turn the temperature down, ended up with the window open. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality and in the evening the bar was reasonably priced too.

Las vistas de la habitación eran estupendas, pero las instalaciones de la habitación, para una estancia superior como estaba catalogada, tenía un cuarto de baño antiquísimo y roto. Además tenía contratado una cama de matrimonio y me asignaron 2 camas individuales juntas.

spotless hotel,amazing room with balcony ,friendly ,helpful staff.

Check in was okay and quick . Was asked if i required ckeaning on a daily basis . I said yes. Room had a lovely view . The room was very dusty with lots of cumps of hair / dust balls evidenent on floor and bath room . Under the bed was worse and had not seen a hoover etc. in a long time. I asked at reception that houskeeping would look at that the next day . I was told yes . Nothing was done and the housekeeping consisted on a bed make up a change of towelsand a quick cursory lick around the sink . Tables and side lockers ( a black glass) dud not see a cloth and floors were neither swept hoovered or moped on any of the four days I was there . Also they forgot to clean one of the days . The air conditioning was also suspect . It would go up but not down . The electronic device fir openibg and closing curtains waa eratic in its functionality and youd be bettwr off operating manually. Bar Staff were good and the gym was clean and well stocked with equipment . Sauna was tiny and only operated from 5pm to 10pm . I have no idea why such limited hours Overall I found that the hotel trades on its location on the Danube but not on its service . I explained this to the receptionist when leaving but she took no notes or said that she would pass or on the management . Its not a budget or cheap hotel but operates like one and cleaning is not a priority .

Great room and view, staff were friendly and the hotel is situated in an excellent location. A few minor points relating to the bathroom could be improved upon including the temperature controls (the bathroom was very hot), re-fillable toiletries were not refilled and there was a sewage smell. These points were attempted to be rectified by reception however not all were resolved.

Great spot, easy access to public transport with views of the river. One of us loved the bed the other found it too firm!

Strong odor in room

Clean room, courteous staff, great location. I would gladly stay here again.

The room was tired, stain on the carpet, peeling paint in the bathroom. However the location and the view are fantastic.

The front desk staff as very friendly and helpful. The view of Parliament from river view room was breathtaking. The location is very convenient...near grocery, pharmacy, and Metro. Easy walk up hill to Fisherman’s Bastion. The beds and linens were very comfortable. Water pressure was decent. Bath was good size. There wasn't really any storage, so unable to unpack and lived out of suitcase. Cleaning service was worst I've ever experienced. Changing towels was only thing they did. We had to repeatedly call front desk to have trash emptied or receive toilet paper. They never restocked coffee or provided clean cups. We were there two weeks and sheets were never changed. If weren’t for horrible cleaning service, would give five stars.

A good and big bed, big room

When we were able to check in we went to our room and it was like a furnace and the heat was rising.Air con could not be regulated so we alerted front desk.....we found staff rude and not very helpful.Instead of fixing the aircon they turned it off so we had to sleep in room with windows open not ideal in November...Also we had arranged room to be serviced and that also was not done until we again had to tell them at the front desk. We stay in hotels a lot and we have stayed here before but the level of service and attitude we got we wont use it again or recommend it

The room was spotless, great amenities. Staff were very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. We received an unrequested upgrade to a very spacious room. The high ceilings were reminiscent of old world European charm with modern conveniences. Breakfast buffet was very good!

Great view facing the Danube river and view of the parliment

The location is great and we were met by very friendly staff and a great first impression. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and the shower was cold however, we were eventually advised to run the sink tap at the same time but had had 2 nights of cold showers by this point which could have been easily avoided.

Overall very good stay, great location and Danube river view was excellent.
