The hotel was pricy but it’s worth it! Beautiful hotel, lovely views. The breakfast buffet was amazing. We had the Yunnesen access included and it was an amazing experience. We didn’t use the onsen but had a look and it was beautiful as well. Highly recommend!

This recently renovated hotel is very comfortable and absolutely beautiful. Rooms are a good size and well equipped with slippers, towels, toiletries, bottled water, tea and coffee, an electric kettle, fridge, etc. Tea, coffee and other beverages are also available in the lobby next to the comfortable lounge area which overlooks a beautiful garden. I enjoyed use of the on-site onsen (separate facilities for men and women) and the delicious buffet style dinner and breakfast. I appreciated the hotel shuttle ride to Gora station the morning I did the Hakone Loop using my Hakone Free Pass. I highly recommend this place as a peaceful, comfortable place to stay for solo travelers, couples and families.

The hotel is beautiful and tranquil. The onsen was very clean and extremely relaxing and rarely crowded. A bit of a language barrier with the staff and they are unable to accommodate luggage transfer which was disappointing.

The restaurant dinner was definitely not worth the price of $60 Canadian. It was a good buffet and just not very fresh etc.. I wouldn’t recommend that the brunch was OK. I guess it was a little bit better same idea though buffet style, which is never really that fresh I feel like It’s kind of chaotic that none of nobody speak English, which is fine but you get in there and it’s so chaotic the check-in and they don’t let you check in early. She didnt even look to see if I could. It wasn’t the best experience for the price. They paid like 350 for one night.

The hotel is a newer property with nice aesthetics. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds meant to fit 2 adults and 2 children (ages 10 and 12). Even by our British standards it was small. The dining was all buffet - breakfast and dinner. I thinks fairly hard to eat too healthy. The soft serve ice cream and bags of French fries were on offer at both meals. Kids loved it but it was a nightmare to police. The public onsen is completely fine to take children in with you. You are going in stark naked, though - so it’s perhaps not for everyone. The tunnels in across the street is “wacky” as described by our 10 year old - being polite. Frankly it was gross. I’ve never smelt a pool that was so disgusting - beyond strong chlorine. The chemicals felt like they were there to kill all the wee from the volume of children in the baths. Best bit was the “pyjamas” which we all wore to dinner every night after our onsen on the roof.we also enjoyed the balcony off of reception where you can get a coffee or juice and relax.
