Very close to the central train station, this was a very walkable hub for our trip. It’s outside of the major touristy areas, so it’s still very quiet at night. The hotel features an indoor pool, sauna, hot tubs and steam rooms for guests. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. A great hotel for those staying in Amsterdam

Gorgeous hotel - but I was sad the pool and sauna were out of action. I had a lovely massage treatment but the treatment room could do with being a little cosier- dimmer lights, a candle perhaps - just a little more luxurious than currently presented would be nice (and easily attainable).

Our experience was wonderful. Start to finish even difficulties with an unexpected “maintenance issue “. Was addressed with professionalism and the offer of a late checkout to make up for the inconvenience of being unable to access the tub water the night prior as well as some of the room service items/items from the Buffet Breakfast that required gas which was still unavailable at the point we wanted it.. We benefitted from a local Rikshaw E bike driver from I Am Bike Taxi - Lets ride https://www.iambiketaxi.com Best driver was named Bobby and turned out to be the best experience. I would recommend advertising them within the building travellers from Canada and other jurisdictions greatly appreciate choice as well as the practical solution to addressing the lack of access by Car or The extra time it takes to get to the same. Also, they are incredibly fun and knowledgable about the City provided us much information about where to go and what was going on.. truly a bonus at roughly €10 a head per trip. Often we would take the Rikshaw in One Direction and then walk back knowing how to do so. The hotel was accommodating and clean request are attended and the complementary white bar with soda, beverages, and water was appreciated. Overall, one of the best Hotel experiences to Date? wonderful concept with the art deco and so apartment size the Jr suite I can imagine any of the other rooms being similar if not superior..

Overall, the experience was good, but there were a few areas that could be improved. The hotel itself has an older charm and was generally comfortable for our stay. However, the housekeeping service was inconsistent, and the cleaning staff did not always meet expectations. Customer service was also somewhat frustrating at times. Whenever we needed assistance or requested something for our room, we often had to call the front desk multiple times before receiving a response. That said, I want to give credit where it’s due. The gentleman who checked us in was excellent…friendly, professional, and very welcoming. He made a great first impression and was one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, the hotel was acceptable, but improvements in housekeeping and responsiveness to guest requests would make a significant difference.

We also appreciated that the hotel provided free water and soft drinks. Only negative was that the rooms are not air conditioned. The hotel provided portable fans but not the same as having AC. We would definitely stay here again but not during the hot months.

We stayed at the hotel last year and had a wonderful, spacious room with canal view. This year, I booked a regular room and was disappointed as soon as I opened the curtain to a view of vents and walls. The pool and hottub were both out of order, which is disappointing when you boik a5-star hotel and really look forward to a spa day. The staff was very nice, and I would recommend the restaurant. The Amrath is very conveniently located, 2 blocks away from Centraal and 3 blocks from the Red Light District. I would stay here again but book a room with a canal view.

I booked last minute for the tail end of a working week in Amsterdam. We were assigned a room in the basement - the layout was a bit inefficient but this did not bother us. What did was that communication was really poor - the request of some ice (repeated for the second day of our stay) for our in-room drinks took 3 attempts and resulted in 1 glass full rather than a bucket like the day before. We also did not have any cleaning services during our stay in spite of our multiple requests, so had to clean glasses and coffee cups by ourselves. One evening we ventured into the spa, 2 hrs before closing time. The other guests were so loud that I had to tell them off a couple of times. There was (little) water in the water cooler but no glasses left, so ppl were drinking directly from the spout (!). finally, none doing any checks, and mountains of towels used and discarded everywhere. To be honest, I will continue appreciating the Amrath building from the outside (Amsterdamse School architecture at its finest) but will not repeat the experience any time soon. There is surely better in Amsterdam.

Everything was great except the WiFi. Did not reach the 4th floor very well. It was clean, suites were spacious, and overall stay was great.
