I booked two rooms for three adults more than a month in advance. However, upon arrival, the night shift staff claimed the booking was only for two people, implying one room for one person. I had to show my Expedia confirmation, after which he made a phone call to someone who spoke English. The whole process was unpleasant and stressful, even though the booking clearly stated three guests. After a lengthy argument and review of the booking details, he finally agreed. It felt as though he was trying to ask for additional money. Room allocation was also disappointing. One room was given on the third floor, while the room for the couple was assigned to the eighth floor, even though the elevator only goes up to the seventh floor, requiring us to carry our luggage up one floor by stairs. Additionally, the room on the eighth floor was significantly smaller than the one on the third floor, which felt unfair given that both rooms were part of the same booking. The daytime receptionist was polite and helpful, but the night shift staff was very unprofessional and unwelcoming. Overall, the stay was negatively impacted by poor communication and unfair room assignment, despite having a confirmed booking made well in advance.

We got a free upgrade to a family room because they had run out of the smaller rooms that we booked. The room was big and nice and comfortable, although the bathroom was a bit old and tired and needs updating (soap dispenser falling off the wall, and shower holder doesn't point the shower at you properly, so have to hold it). Still, not a bad place if you get a decent rate.

Friendly staff and well run. we missed two of the three nights booked due to our visa but the hotel was obliging and let us stay three nights from arrival, which they did not have to do. We found multiple cockroaches in our room on the first night and the bathroom floods as there is no seal between the bath and the wall. We also found it odd the key must be given to reception when leaving the hotel at any time. Mixed experience but comfortable room.

It's no wonder that this hotel has had numerous Tripadvisor excellence awards, an incredible value hotel the price of a packet of cigarettes in most European countries. Central location, clean room, lift WIFI, friendly English speaking staff, and everything you could want. This was good, as others staying at this hotel will find out.

This is my second time staying at Luxury Hotel for the following reasons: 1) It is in a quiet neighborhood (located away from the main road); it's in a side street 2) customer service - the staff was very helpful and friendly; they speak english 3) the rooms are clean - room service everyday 4) amenities comes with good wi-fi; rooms also have a desk, cable tv, 5) room has a window with view (rooms are bright, unlike some hotels that you pay with same price that has no windows!!) 6) reasonable price for a nice spacious room 7) It is also conveniently located near many restaurants, convenience stores and shopping places ; near the cathedral

The luxury hotel isn't luxury, but it's a good value for the money. I booked day-of and they set me up with a pick up from the airport (extra fee). My flight was delayed and I didn't land until after 1am, but there wasn't a problem still getting my ride and checking in, which was great of them as I was traveling alone and really just wanted to get to bed! They even upgraded me to their deluxe room, which was very spacious and clean. However, I was on the top floor and there sounded to be critters running around on top of my head (on the roof? Attic?). Again, the room was solid, but just worth noting.

It's a good hotel to stay in.. fro the price we paid, we are more than happy to leave a generous tip for the breakfast staff. However the noise from the hotel staff shouting between floors along the stairwell isn't good practice! It must be address by management. It's not an amusement park and excessive noise causes unpleasant ambience for paying guest. Secondly, anti-noise paddings should be fitted to their furniture to avoid transmission of noise between floors.. some guests drags chairs and tables across their rooms without considerations to people staying below. Other than that I would certainly return to the same hotel if I revisit Hanoi.

The hotel is situatet in the old quarter but in a more quiet street/backstreet. So no noise of all the bars and the trouble of the known crazy old quarters. The welcome at the hotel is warm but also too much vendor like. Bevor seing the room we were asked if we wanted to book tickets for bus or visit. Its clear, its a service but first the room right? The room is spacious and well furnitured. The bed was confortable and the bath cleaned. The top roof breakfast is a nice change from the crouded streets. The room is "added" in a very cheap building way. Well the view is nice but it should be more of a build.room than a wooden/metal box. Luxury is something else. For the food itself, the choice is limited, not everything was available but what you get is good and made with love by the staff (1person) so bring some time with you. Staff is goodp, sometimes even too helpfull for my taste. Can get a bit noisi from reception if you get room nb 201. Good price/value Space for improvement on the luxury name. The room was clean but not the blanket. Luckily one of the male staff help us to change one of the room but aircon also not strong. The male staff in the evening is more accomodative than the lady in the morning. The western breakfast is terrible. Very oily. Overall, better pay a little bit more to get something more comfortable than seeing the review which is not true at all.
