Citadines on Bourke Melbourne

We had a lovely one night stay at the Citadines recently. We upgraded at the last minute and stayed in a one bedroom apartment. It was so spacious and comfortable. We love the location of Citadines and find it very reasonably priced. We will definately stay again.

Well located and previously good but looking like a good steam clean of the carpets and tiles was due since our visit last year. A tissue sat on the ground near the lifts from Friday afternoon until Monday evening which didn’t set a good image.Though the staff were lovely and very helpful.

Good location, room is very plain and boring . . . reception staff were slow and lacked the ability to explain basics like wifi etc

Great value, clean room, super convenient location.

Have stayed here a few times and the fact that I keep returning is a testament to the property. This time the room I had was near the aircon vents and was very noisy, and I asked for a quieter room which was duly provided. As a regular stayer I was rewarded with a gift, and I had to follow up for this gift. Small things, and not deal breakers, but something to watch.

The room was excellent and very clean. The beds were comfy and the location is perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Citadines in Bourke Street Melbourne. The location was excellent, the room was beautifully presented and contained everything I needed. The staff service on check-in and out was efficient whilst courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Shower pressure is weak

This is a bit of a hidden gem, it’s right in the middle of the City, yet totally discreet. Staff go above and beyond to help and the rooms are quiet, spacious and totally functional. Pool and Fitness area is first rate. Great value for money.

parking should be included in the price

Staff was very helpful .. the girl if the desk ( her name was Saraf) upgraded my room . It was my mum ‘s first visit to Melbourne and she loved her stay .

Great location. Well-appointed kitchenette - two saucepans, colander and a frying pan with a good range of kitchen utensils and crockery. Other than the one teaspoon provided cutlery was also plentiful. Housekeeping is every second day and is “hit and miss”; ie, the kitchen sink wasn’t cleaned and on the first occasion replacement dishwashing powder wasn’t left (thankfully Reception has a supply of this and other items). On the second occasion, rather than leaving two sachets of dishwashing powder they left two sachets of laundry powder (my room did not have a washing machine). A simple mistake? Possibly - but when I took the laundry powder to Reception to have it swapped for dishwashing powder the Receptionist’s reaction lead me to believe that such mistakes are not unusual. On about day three of my stay, a light bulb in one of the two lights in the kitchen blew. On my way out that morning, I reported the matter to Reception and asked that the bulb be replaced. As there were two lights in the kitchen I was very specific about which one needed changing; ie, the one on the right-hand side, nearest the pantry. On my return, I found a card from Building Maintenance on the kitchen bench showing the bulb had been replaced. It had not. I took a photo and returned to Reception where both the Receptionist and Duty Manager were not impressed. Light bulb promptly fixed. TV volume wouldn’t go past “8”. Didn’t bother me as I prefer radio and reading.

Great staff and parking

Power to the entire hotel went out at around midday on the second day of my stay, they had no idea why, couldn't provide an estimated time of when the power would be turned back on. It eventually turned back on later that night, guests weren't informed why it occurred or if it would happen again, and weren't provided with any form of compensation for the issue.

Highly recommend

You stated exclusive gold benefits wine bottle on arrival and free upgrade if available. Please don’t promise that can’t be delivered. The toilet seat was dirty and unusable and I have to ask for cleaning. Room make up was not done during my two nights stay. I probably will not stay here.
