Reef View Hotel

The best thing about this hotel is view from the balcony (Sea View) Its absolutely stunning! Top tips, when you arrive at the airport go straight to the hotel desk located by the luggage collection. Don't collect your luggage first. Semi check in and get your luggage tag from them. They tell you which free shuttle bus you catch. Then collect your luggage from the carousel and attach the tag. This will save you a big queue. When you get to the hotel after checking in, if you can collect your luggage and take it to the room yourself. It takes ages for it to come up otherwise. To be fair they warn you of this. The Reception Staff were very nice and friendly. The rooms. As mentioned the view is breathtaking. The beds are very comfortable, which is a must for me. The room itself was a little tried, worn carpet, old furniture etc, but that did not bother me as it was clean and good. The bad bits. The food, I ordered the Burger and chips. The Burger was oozing liquid and wasn't the best. Later that night I did not feel good at all. I thought the bar staff were Ok, but could have been friendlier. The chap they hired to sing was very poor! I stayed on the 16th Floor. It's high up and the balcony is not overly high, it's a long way down! If I had children with me, personally I would not have been happy. As a travelling adult I would stay there again, mainly for the stunning view but eat at the Marina restaurants.

Beautiful property, easily walkable to marine area.

Friendly staff at the reception, made our check-in quick and also adviced on all the restaurants around and which were kid friendly. Airport transport driver was very good with the kids. Asking questions and making them laugh.

Everything excellent

Reef view rooms have an incredible view out over the beach. The only negative for us was the sound of a constantly crying baby in the room next door, I might be nice if infants were restricted to certain floors.

Great

Dirty and run down. Mouldy bathrooms, dirty room walls. Breakfast was cold and not fresh. Dining staff did not help when request was made

Great location and lots of options for pools. This is a solid B+ hotel. The rooms are large and the views are fantastic! They have the airport transfer well organized and work with you to keep your luggage after checkout, but they require 10 am checkout, which is earlier than most hotels. The staff was friendly but were very slow to respond to requests or just said they wouldn't be able to help. It seemed like they were constantly under staffed. There were always roadblocks to simple requests I had. With that being said, I would still return to this hotel because of the location and views. But, just be aware that it's not a service oriented hotel.

Some of the guestrooms on floor #1 look directly into the arrival area. If you're sensitive noise, this might be an issue. Use caution when booking cheaper rooms that offer a garden view as you might end up with a similar room.
