Thia booking was very disapponting. The room was renovated but there are no amenities on site, the building doors were all left unlocked as the whole building was under construction and they took my payment 3 days before I arrived even though i selected Pay at Property. Staff were nice but building is not ready - toilet ran all.the time as well and TV shut down an hour before checkout.

I was waiting for a response from them, but am yet to recieve. We booked Forest Park for our annual ski trip this year. We originally intended to stay for two nights, but due to the three-night minimum, we booked three nights and adjusted our plans accordingly. At the time of booking, there was no indication of any ongoing or upcoming renovations. We did not receive any communication about construction until Friday, December 26 — just two days before our arrival. When we arrived, we were placed in the older building (Room 307). We are travelling with another family, both with children, and access to the pool and hot tub was a major factor in choosing this accommodation. Unfortunately, when we attempted to use the neighboring pool and hot tub, it was extremely overcrowded and unusable for our group, eliminating a key amenity we were expecting to enjoy. To add to this, we were woken up as early as 7:00 am, by loud construction noise directly outside our window. The construction continued throughout the day and has significantly impacted our stay. At nearly $800 for three nights, we feel we should have been informed well in advance about the renovations, or at the very least not placed directly beside active construction. Seems like an awful lot of money for very lacking accommodations.

Our room was lovely, clean and modern as we were staying in the newly renovated part of the hotel - I would book again on that basis. Given a 3-star overall because I wasn't aware when I booked that they were about to undergo major renovation and was only made aware the day before our stay, being advised that many of the facilities were either already or about to be closed. Unlike other places we stayed on this trip, we spent far more time in our room rather than using the hotel because of that. It's also one of the furthest hotels away from the main town, which was more annoying that the facilities onsite were poor. I'm confident this would be a 5-star stay once renovation is complete given the quality of our room though.

It would be good to have it on your website when booking that your facilities are all closed not after you've paid and then receive an email to say oh by the way the spa pool is closed the pool is closed the restaurant's closed. Parking seems to be a major issue at this time.

Staff was great. Room was newly renovated and close to back stairs at least with a dog that needs to go for pee at 6am. A room on the bottom floor would’ve been better. Just got told 2 days before arrival the hotel was under construction. Our view was scaffolding and listening to them take it apart for our whole stay. Which were during good hours at least. No restaurants or pool open in the hotel due to construction. I don’t think the price matched what we got. Knowing now what we got I would’ve paid for a cheaper hotel.

Check in was terrible, the parking lot is not plowed which makes suitcases difficult, then trying to find where to go through the renovations just to check in, then being sent to another building that is undergoing renovations and has large trucks and fencing set up all around to find our room. The room is fine, it’s had a facelift but now has toilet paper that is dispensed like cheep tissue paper in an awkward location which is annoying. Given all the choices here I will make another one next time.

The rooms have no door Matt's so anytime you go to the bathroom you have to walk through a wet tile floor. The bathroom fan didn't work and they don't offer cots just wasn't impressed this time. Who wants to walk through a wet muddy floor every time you go to the bathroom. Also, if the room sleeps for why do they only ever put three towels in the bathroom? You're always having to ask for more towels.

The room and staff was great. My complaint is that payment was taken from my credit card without my consent when I selected that I would be paying upon check in. Considering that one of the rooms was reserved for a friend I found this to be very irritating. This is Expedia's fault and not the actual place. The place itself was fantastic!

We arrived after dark, and it was not immediately obvious where the main entrance was located. We had to ask a guest in the parking lot. The front staff is pleasant and made check-in quick and easy. The room was very comfortable, and everything is new: the stove, dishwasher, and microwave. The shower was good, but it took a long time to warm up. Will stay again when all the upgrades are complete.

The hotel room itself was clean and newly renovated. However, when booking the hotel, we knew that there were some renovations that were undergoing in the pool area. This was fine, we expected this area of the hotel to be closed / inaccessible. What was not expected was the fact that the entire wing which we were staying in was under major construction. Our room was overlooking the atrium which was a giant construction site with extremely bright lights on 24/7. Even with the blackout curtain the light still came through quite a bit. The smell of newly constructed materials was very strong throughout the entire wing. Additionally, when we checked in we found out that the elevators were not operating. This was fairly problematic since we had a ton of luggage that we needed to get to our second floor room. We hauled everything up - we then later found out that there was another elevator which could be accessed through the other wing of the hotel. Although not ideal it would save us from making multiple trips through the snow to haul everything up. Had I know the extent of construction I would have definitely not stayed in the wing that we were in. It will probably be a very nice hotel once the construction is complete. But if you are staying there I would make sure you are far far away from the woodland wing.
