Reception very helpful, bar staff not so

The staff are very friendly, attentive and so helpful! They go above and beyond to make your stay great. We managed to upgrade to a suite for just £25 extra which was great to have the extra space and a nice coffee machine, however the room could do with a bit of modernising. The bed and sofa bed weren't very comfortable and both very noisy when moving even just a little bit. The breakfast was great, a good selection and topped up regularly but for some reason the breakfast room was very loud, staying in other hotels recently we've not experienced so much noise during breakfast.

It was a shame that for such a large hotel there were no safe storage facilities for our bikes overnight. Otherwise the stay was convenient and fair for the price.

Very comfortable - lots of hot water

Had to change rooms three times as the bed frames were loose and creaking badly. Finally was given a room that was ok, still very dated and in need of som TLC. Chair was broken, table had splinted edges. Went to have a show and there was no shower gel. I used some of my Tescos vouchers to pay for part of the bill, but this wouldn’t go through and despite contacting hotels.com they just sent me an email on what I should do, which was of no help at all as I had already done this. Why they could not just put the code through for me I do not know. So had to pay full price and have a voucher that has to be used by September which I probably now loose. Also had to pay for parking at the hotel which to me if you are staying at the hotel should be part of your stay. Overall not a great experience.

I booked a queen room and was told on arrival they only had one room left and it was twin room, so this was a disappointing start. When I arrived in my room, I noticed a lot of bugs and spent the first hour of my time killing the bugs that I could see, however I am sure I missed a lot also. Overall, it wasnt very clean and this obviously encourages bugs etc.

Everything about the hotel is average.The noise was to be expected as there was a big function that evening. However, no allowances had been made for the inconvenience to other guests. To get away from the noise my friend and I went to my room. This was not very comfortable as there was only one chair (in a room with 2 beds). My foreign friends were disappointed to find so few English dishes on the menu.

Lounge was of a decent size and staff were helpful and welcoming.

The sofa bed is very uncomfortable, you can feel the mattress springs when you laid down, the kids didn’t have a good night sleep due to this sofa

The pull out sofa bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever had the misfortune to attempt to sleep on. A very bad night only made worse by the room’s phone ringing at 6.24am for a wake up call that we hadn’t asked for. The reception desk denied all knowledge. Awful stay.

Liked the easy booking in, cookies were a lovely surprise and delicious. Loads of parking. Had a sofa bed and the bars were in my back and hips. Because I was on my own I was able to place sofa cushions on top of the mattress and was comfortable enough.

very expensive at the bar and food, no cash payments at the bar card only. No different than a premier inn apart from its far to expensive.

We stay in this hotel quite a lot. The staff are always pleasant, the rooms are great. The breakfast is very good every time. We belong to IHG club so stay in lots of Hilton's. Well done Swindon.

Excellent, comfortable hotel. Large room, large twin beds, decent shower. And easy access to M4 junction 16. We've had good experiences in other DoubleTree by Hiltons and this matched those.

Breakfast was very good. Disappointing standard Evening menu, vegetable soup unappetising to look at, very bland. Salmon dry, with nicose salad normal chain ready prepped bagged taste , Husband had ribs. They were ok. Had to go find server to bring desert. Cold and draughty in the raised area by the curtained off dining room extension.

The assigned room had a bodged heating control that was on or off. The thermostatic had been removed and replaced with a bodged substitute, this redulted in either gaving to turn it on with redultant full hot air blast or off, with rapid cooling. No mention or discussion of this during check-in. Along with the drab restaurant it makes the adjacent Premier Inn increasingly appealing.

A lovely bright room with good lighting and heating control. Dining room was a but 'functional and grey but the food and service was very good.

Nice place and convenient from motorway. Lovely breakfast. Easy to use. Good lounge and Starbucks. The room was too hot though and no way to cool it at night and bed was super creaky.
