Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo

We were checked in by Chris who was very welcoming and saw him throughout our stay. He was kind enough to help with trains on check out and even gave us a bottle of water each. The lifts were not working properly. Breakfast was delicious and our room was clean and the bathroom was lovely.

Great stay, close to transportation

A really lovely stay at Waterloo! Great location - Close enough to all the main attractions. We walked across bridge to theatre! Comfortable rooms and engaging, lovely staff! Would return!

Easy access to Waterloo and crossing bridge to Covent Garden. Hitel staff so friendly and helpful. Very clean and value for money. Thank you for a lovely stay. Also very quiet room at back

The hotel was clean and tidy with comfy bed and half decent shower. Tea and coffee in room were good brands but not enough of them for two people, especially the milk pots and sugar. Location good for us, we usually stay at a different hotel down the road but couldn't get in there. The welcome at the Hilton was lacking somewhat against what we are used to. No smile from guy on reception, no talking from him either, just shoved the form in front of me and pointed at the three spots I needed to sign. No explanation verbally of the £30 taken on a card on arrival. I knew about it from scanning the form before signing. Did not tell us that the wifi code was in the cardboard sleeve the room keys were in. Not the welcome you would expect. The lady on breakfast though was completely different, a big smile and very clear on what to do. A warning though, you are expected to eat your breakfast in 30 minutes in busy times. It is served from 6am to 11am though so there are quieter times. Good selection of cooked items, cereals, pastries and fruit. Coffee machine was really slow. All in all a good stay and nothing I've commented on spoiled our visit.

Hotel was clean, comfortable and well located, great breakfast too. Shame about the attitude of the staff on front desk though. Had a problem with the key card for our room so that EVERY time we left the room, we couldn’t get back in. Staff either thought this was absolutely hilarious or didn’t even speak to us when we walked down to reception yet again to ask for a new card, just swapped it over and stared at us when we pointed out how many times this had happened. Absolutely no effort made to find out why this kept happening or resolve the issue, but according to the young lady on reception who laughed when I suggested an apology might be nice, at least we were getting plenty of exercise going up and down the stairs. All in front of a manager who stood there giggling along with her. Maybe it’s just me who doesn’t really understand why being locked out of your room every time you return the hotel is so funny ….

Ideally located close to Waterloo underground. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby. The hotel was quiet, clean and did what it needed for a 1 night stay. I'd say its fairly pricey compared to others but it was chosen for convenience. They say breakfast is free but I actually think thatbthe inflated price to stay here takes into account your "free" breakfast. The breakfast was sub standard and laid out in a cafe style using red trays an no laid tables. It wasnt a pleasant experience and if I stayed here again, i'd eat out. The check in was quick and I was given a room on the 8th floor (top) with fantastic views across the city, this was a real bonus. Small gym with 3 cardio machines, a rack, matts and dumbells. Its enough to get a workout but pray that its quiet. Decent enough hotel overall.

The hotel is clean and is very comfortable in a good area of Waterloo London or far from The station and old Vic theatre

The property is very nice and walkable to many places. It’s quiet and the breakfast is very generous. There is also on site dining but it’s a little pricey. The staff could have been friendlier.

I spent a couple of nights in this hotel, here for my what are the positives and negatives: - The hotel is in a very central location, great to walk around London - The rooms are decent, clean, and quiet For the negatives: - I would not rate the breakfast highly, some of the food they serve is not the best quality, also for the first time that I stayed in an Hotel, there was a queue for breakfast before we could actually get in and sit down, and we were being told that we had 30 min before we should release the table (Not the best when you are on holiday and looking forward to relax). - Outside of our room, you could see that some glass got broken before (a window maybe), no glass within the room of course, but I would think that it would be general maintenance to remove those broken pieces of glass... It's not a bad Hotel, but do not expect Hilton quality.

This is a great hotel a short walk from Waterloo station. Staff are courteous and was manned well. Rooms were really clean. Beds so comfortable. Added bonus of them looking after our bags safely as we continued to explore.
