The staff were all very helpful. The spa treatment was amazing, the breakfasts were good, and little touches like a gideon bible in the drawer of our spacious bedroom were just lovely. We will definitely be lioking out for Macdonald's hotels again

We came here for our Birthdays. From start to finish we enjoyed our time and everyone who worked their was very nice and helpful. We received a complimentary room upgrade which made celebrating our birthday's even more special. The spa treatments were fantastic and well valued.
We would absolutely stay here again.

This was a bargain of a price, last minute night away and value for money was amazing. We used the spa facilities, the bar and restaurant and had great service all round. The hotel does look a bit tired in some areas but it was all very clean and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend x

The property is a 4 star hotel, i wouldnt rate the hotel as 4 star.
Our room had damaged curtains there was no blind or net curtain.
Staff on reception were pleasant.
The restaurant and bar are over priced for the quality.
The restaurant manager on saturday night didnt even acknowledge us when we were waiting even though he was assisting an employee he could have acknowledged we were there.
Breakfast was good although could have had more fruit available and a better service for coffee especially if its 4 star.

We booked for two nights our first night was not up to standard as expected the furniture as tired and not up to standard we were moved for the second night as there was a water leak in the room above.

A very pleasant stay with only two issues that detracted from an excellent stay
Breakfast was ok but didn’t match a good premier inn breakfast and didn’t match up with regard to variety of choice or presentation that the price per head indicated.
The spa staff were all very lovely but didn’t know how to date different treatments available to help with choosing also the spa lounge frequently ran out of boiling water and the full range of herbal teabags and left over cups and rubbish was left on surfaces for long periods of time

I arrived at reception and was greeted by a very stressed out young lady who was obviously having a bad day . The room was ok clean but was very tired , the tv didn’t have much in the way of channels and the remote worked when it wanted too .
I went out and returned around 9 I went to bed someone was smoking weed the smell got worse and worse so I got ready and went to reception to report it by this time the whole corridor stuck of it , the receptionist said they would look into it but I didn’t hear anything else about it , not a nice smell !

Took my 3 year old son but unfortunately the noise outside our room kept waking him up. Also after breakfast where he ate a piece of undercooked bacon it made him sick.
The pool was to cold and only limited hours which stops a lot of families paying to stay.
Paid to upgrade my room so lost out all round. Shame.
