Novotel Bristol Centre

Great hotel. Well located. Comfortable room.

Hotel is in a good position for visiting Bristol Town centre. The rooms were clean and very welcoming staff. The king bed was large but a little too firm for our liking. The breakfast was excellent 10 out of 10 for quality and choice. We had booked half board and were told when we checked in that hardly anyone booked the evening meal and we would probably be the only ones in. The starter and puddings were OK but the main course was disappointing. My wife had the omelette on the first night which was fine. I had the pie and mash. The pie was OKish for a reheated pie the mash tasted like instant mash. On the second night I tried the fish and chips. The fish was very dry and crispy and curled up. My wife had a pizza which was OK. If we stopped again I certainly will not be having the evening meal option. The 7 score is mainly because of the evening meal. If we haddent booked that I would have given a score of 9 for bed and breakfast.

Good friendly check in experience, had a room upgrade which was lovely and a nice room with a new bigger tv which was a really welcome improvement.

Great hotel, would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Everything about my staff here was fantastic. Location is perfect for walking around Bristol, check-in was seamless and pleasant, housekeeping was so friendly, and the property is very well maintained. Will absolutely be rebooking the next time I’m in Bristol.

The £17 charge to park our car was an unpleasant surprise at the outset, especially having paid £162 for an extremely average room in a corridor that smelled badly of feet

The room was quiet and beds comfortable. Nice that there is filtered water to help yourself to in the corridor. There was a great selection of food at breakfast, which was presented well and tasted delicious.

Awful as I specifically booked room with separate sofa bed weeks in advance but when I arrived they said sorry we dont have any left as all taken (two guys sharing so needed separate beds) - they blamed your booking as it didnt make it clear to them...

There needs to be a better system for disabled people and prams as the access to the lift from the car park you have to manually open the doors yourself, which are heavy doors and cannot to it when single parent. Also, room wasn’t very clean.

Carpet in the room was absolutely filthy, shower went hot and cold and just trickled out, parking was £17 even though I paid £270 for 1 night. Very very disappointed to say the least especially for the price! Will NOT stay again

The staff were very friendly, our accessible room was spotless, and the shower had a chair, not one of those fixed to the wall things! It felt very safe having a shower :: The only improvement would be to place a chair in one of the changing rooms by the sauna/steam room/gym, as getting showered and changed after having a steam/sauna was difficult!

Excellent hotel, great location. Spacious room. Dog friendly. Only 1 thing still to be resolved, was I paid for the hotel,Parking and Pet separately with clear request for separate invoices, as I paid everything on arrival and make the request in advance before I arrived and at check in. yet when I checked out they had put everything onto one invoice. Apparently would have take time to resolve but I couldn’t wait. They said they would email-l it to me. But still not received and also reported that even with booking correspondence - I have never received any of their emails- not even junk. Hence wanting the invoice printed when I leave. I would have thought a weeks notice and a call and reiterated when I checked in, the importance of separate invoices was enough time to get ready for me. Minor if rectified and if the email is received- apart from this would highly recommend and would happily use again.
