Great location right on the beach. Could snorkel in the lagoon straight out from room. Impressive marine life even though coral has borne the brunt of frequent cyclones. Superb view with lush tropical gardens. Staff very friendly & helpful although sometimes slow to attend tables to take food orders. Would have liked more Fijian options on menu rather than dishes we could already get at home though. Great range of available aitivities.

Fiji hideaway was a budget friendly option, which was good. The place is dated but the accommodation was comfortable and gave us what we needed for a good price. The resort had activities which were good to keep the family busy. The food options were particularly bad and access to alternate options off the resort were hard to access. The resort is also a good distance from many things so travelling to tours, dining etc was costly and time consuming. Thank you though to the staff at the resort that made our stay worthwhile!

While I tried to enjoy my days there, the staff seemed unmotivated, unfriendly. Food was mediocre at best. Beach was pleasant but the trash we collected on the beach was still in the same pile two days later. Snorkeling by far was the best part of the resort.

It was so incredible to see the sunrises in the morning, the brilliant stars at night you could touch them! The coral reef was the best, right there you could discover the fish, all of "Nemo's friends, including Nemo himself!" The staff was fun in the evening and the lighting of the torches was a great treat each night. Fire Dance was fun and the walk on the reef with Dan out to the waves. All the guests were fun too. It was like a family. The Bure, bungalow, was comfortable, private, and really special. The rain at night but me to sleep. The roads on the path were nice too. I can't wait to come back. Vinaka!

We stayed at Hideaway Resort & Spa for 8 nights with our kids, this was our 1st overseas family holiday. We were very excited to be in Fiji & as a family we always look for positives in any of our holiday adventures. After the second day into our stay the reality & realisation of how badly run down the resort is,from pool area, public amenities,gardens/lawns,the very mouldy white sails on roof above dining area, overall buildings & our accommodation are very poorly maintained & very tired looking/dated. We experienced unsatisfactory service from staff in dining, bar & pool staff. This started to take its toll on our joy & positivity early in our holiday. Hideaway had really started to show its true colours. We experienced staff to not meet basic customer service on nearly every occasion whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Quite often we would receive our meals staggered, waiting 10-20 minutes which would result in not eating our meals together as a family. When we received our meals we had to ask multiple times for cutlery which took 5-10 minutes to receive,by that stage our meals had gone cold. At breakfast time cutlery, plates, plastic/glass cups, drinking water and breakfast juice ran out daily. On our second day we waited over 3hrs for Pool towels & they still had none, kept saying it’ll be another 10minWe ended up purchasing our own beach towels from Sigatoka to avoid the daily inconvenience/ disappointment. I’m sad to say we didn’t have a positive experience.

Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa provides a classic Coral Coast experience with a relaxed, laid-back vibe, nestled amongst swaying coconut palms and featuring a beautiful beachfront setting; the resort offers comfortable bure and villa-style accommodation, a variety of dining options including Chiefs Restaurant, The Tandoori Grill, and Yuhi Robata Grill, and a range of activities such as snorkeling, diving, spa treatments, and a pool. The staff were friendly and helpful, and while some areas could benefit from updates, the overall experience was positive, making it a great choice for those seeking a relaxed and affordable Fijian getaway.

We booked our 1st family holiday overseas & what a complete disappointment. The resort is far from a “resort”. It is extremely run down, there is no kids club (but shows images there is) food is over priced for what you get, the service is terrible & staff look unhappy. Food orders took forever to arrive. There was also no complimentary drinking water bottles offered in the rooms. They run out of everything from pool towels, cutlery, mugs, food, every single day. The kids menu is basic & doesn’t change. There are wild cats everywhere & dogs too that wonder the resort. The dirtiest place we’ve ever stayed at in our 20 years of travel. There is mould everywhere in the bathroom, fridge & doors are stained with dirty marks, & a few times water was cut off completely without any warning whatsoever. DON’T GO HERE! Would highly recommend that Last Minute removes this resort from their accommodation options.

My 4th trip to the amazing Hideaway, was everything I needed, quiet, warm and friendly staff. The only downside is simply the distance to any tour pickups with it being 1.5 hours from Nadi

It is so sad... the place was once quite nice, I'm sure. But it has fallen into severe neglect. The common areas are very run down and patchwork maintained. I am NOT a fine resort devotee and am NOT judging this by Four Season standards -- I LIKE it a little fringy and local. But this place has not been maintained and it is clear that whomever owns/manages it is not reinvesting in it. The dining room as really not one at all -- just a large open area of slapdash decor, old furniture and very poor quality food. I mean, completely substandard by any hotel or "resort" standard. Truly, I'm not exaggerating here -- it was such a disappointment after being so excited. I re-examined the photos in the website after being there and see that it is not clearly representative of the actual condition. It's very sad, because it could be nice with (now) a lot of attention. But it needs new management or ownership in order to revive to a place worth staying at. Even as the rooms look fairly nice -- not well respected in the images -- and even if you like the "villas", which are not particularly nice and very dilapidated, you STILL must spend time in the common areas, which are just, simply-stated, substandard. Nice people there -- very friendly, and I feel badly for them that they are forced to be there acting as if it is a pleasant experience for the guests who have dished out a fair amount of cash for their big vacation. It is unnecessary and sad...

The lovely and welcoming staff and the activities. The school visit was great and overall the place is beautiful. The resort is extremely cost effective and is located on an awesome coastline. The resort is maintained quite well, unlike some other reviews saying its run down and stuff. The rooms are super comfy and its really peaceful at night.

We stayed here twice (one night each time) during our road trip around the island. Pros: -affordable price - breakfast included - Beautiful surroundings (ocean front, peaceful, nice landscaping) - Activities for adults and children Cons: - frustrating check in process (we arrived at 1.20pm and were told we couldn’t check in until 2 pm. At 2 pm there was no one at the front counter to check us in and impossible to locate anyone. After 20 minutes of waiting someone came and they started calling around trying to figure out if our room was cleaned yet…) - at the time of our arrival the ocean was low tide and instead of ocean we saw just a muddy area. Luckily the next day the ocean was back to normal. - Even though it was generally clean both inside and out, some areas do have trash lying around - Rooms are very basic and quite outdated, no TVs, no wi-fi (there was wi-fi in the cafeteria) - which we were ok with. There was a mini fridge and a kettle in the room. - There was an AC in the room but it didn’t work (though it wasn’t extremely hot either) If we ever travel by car through the area we would stay again for a night or two , but I wouldn’t stay for an extended period of time.

A run down resort with basic amenities. Breaky hot food is a hit n miss. Either overcooked eggs or undercooked, not enough variety for children.. children's chips/fries weren't cooked enough on all meals, bar one when we asked staff to re cooked them. Also food is very dear. Better to buy food outside of resort. Up to half hour wait for smoothies, or drinks too.

Overall Rating: 2.5 / 5 The Good: • Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere – great if you want to unwind and do nothing • Clean rooms • Lovely breakfast every morning • Friendly, welcoming staff who work hard to make your stay enjoyable • Fun happy hour games and entertainment The Not-So-Good: • Food (outside of breakfast) was bland and repetitive • Very expensive to leave the resort – $70 return taxi just to visit nearby restaurants • Resort is run-down and in need of serious maintenance and investment • Starving stray cats and dogs around the resort was distressing • Rooms and facilities felt dated, despite being clean • Dinner and drink prices too high for the quality Final Thought: We made the most of our stay because we were together, and we truly love Fiji and its people — but next time, we’ll likely stay somewhere else.
