Beautifully designed hotel, with friendly staff and a vibrant (and not too touristy) neighbourhood. I've stayed in Le Ballu before and think it's now become where I most like to stay in Paris. It's very walkable to, for example, Opera or Montmartre and has a direct metro line to the Notre Dame area, so it's very well located while also being a bit away from the tourist crush. The rooms are absolutely beautiful - an oasis of calm.

The room was clean and comfortable; the bed and kitchenette were fantastic and the toiletries were of high quality, but the room (and hotel in general) would benefit from improved signage. The staff were generally very helpful and friendly, but this was let down significantly by their poor response to complaints - specifically when we reported that the pool was extremely cold and all but unusable, there was no apology or explanation of what would be done to fix it, despite this being one of the key attractions for this hotel. The area the hotel is in is quiet and away from the main tourist areas; ideal if you want less busy bakeries and restaurants.

The area around the hotel is quite nice. The room was extremely small. There was literally no space to open up a luggage. Also, the staff did not offer any help to take the luggage to our room, while there was an extra set of stairs for us to get to our room and there was no ramp.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel is in a good location, close to Montmartre and the train station. The food at the restaurant was good. However, it is a little pricey. I will recommend this place when going to Paris

Our stay at Hotel Le Ballu was truly outstanding, and we cannot recommend it highly enough! First and foremost, the location is absolutely amazing, perfectly situated for exploring Paris. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the incredible staff. Tomas, the Front Desk Manager, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He consistently went above and beyond to assist us with everything, always with a genuine smile on his face. His dedication made a huge difference to our trip. In the restaurant, Abdullah was equally great, providing truly fantastic customer service. He was attentive, friendly, and made our dining experiences a pleasure. Even at 3 AM during checkout, Sam's helpful nature was simply amazing. It's rare to find such cheerful and efficient service at that hour, and it made our early departure seamless. Beyond the wonderful staff, we also loved the overall ambiance and, of course, their cappuccino is amazing! We genuinely loved the location, the entire staff, and every aspect of our stay. We would come back again in a heartbeat!
