The hotel itself is really old but maintained well. The location is superb, you can just walk anywhere in the neighbourhood and loads of great places in the area. Hotel service (the hotel staff) are well trained, most of the are seniors, extremely helpful. PS: the hotel carpet smells and the shower is awful.

Honestly, it is neither awesome nor unsatisfying. The guest room was a bit dingy. The bed cover, bed sheet and pillow covers had too much stains on it to not feel a bit disgusted upon seeing it. The table where they put the coffee and tea making tools was not well cleaned (had ants running around the table). All in all, the guest room was definitely in need of a better maintenance. Hopefully, business will get better soon so that the hotel management can provide better maintenance. On the bright side, the location was definitely strategic; The area offers a lot of choices for foods! If you're taking public transportation to get to the hotel, it is located within walking distance from MRT blok m bca and Blok m bus Terminal (definitely easy to get there!). The room price for one night without breakfast was pretty cheap, considering it 's Jakarta. AC and hot water also worked well (please bring your own toiletries as it is not provided by the hotel). The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Overall, I don't mind coming back again.

I book this room for My dad and my sister and they are very happy to stay here. The room was comfortable and clean. Very Strategic place, near to MRT station, malls and many things to stroll around nearby. The breakfast buffets really satisfying. Will come again for the next visit :)

It was a great experience. Stayed here for few days during my home renovation. The staffs were nice and helpful. The room was clean, and they clean it in daily basis. I asked for extra chair as we needed to WFH during the stay, and they provided it. The foods were amazing; Plenty, varies, and taste good. The location is strategic. It is also connected to Dharmawangsa Square so you can eat, go to salon or buy snacks at Ranch Market. There is also Bebek Goreng Pak Joko Putera nearby which you should try!

I am celebrating my anniversary with my husband, and Gran Melia is the perfect place to have these special moments. From the moment I arrived, Ben escorted me to the red-level reception, and Ben was accommodating and attentive. He happily explained the perks of red level, and even after we parted ways, Ben sought out my husband, who arrived later from the parking lot and escorted him again upstairs. In the red-level lounge, I was greeted by Anas, who is one of the best hoteliers I have ever met. Anas is not only warm and welcoming, but her hospitality is also beyond what I have previously encountered. When I came back here, I wished Anas would be the one who helped me again! Donny also greeted and cared for me, who made such a good cup of coffee! Now the room, where should I start? They upgraded us for free to the deluxe suite; The room is gorgeous. The bathtub made my day as it 's enormous and very comfortable. They even gave me a small cake to celebrate my anniversary. On top of that, they gifted me vouchers to dine at Yoshi Izakaya (my and my husband 's favorite Japanese restaurant), so this time, I was pampered by Gran Melia. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and I am 100 % will be back to stay in the red-level rooms again. Thank you, Gran Melia Jakarta!

Actually the service that hotel given is fantastic. Fast respond. And the staff also very nice and helped. Even though in others side of problem about the room facilities need to be improved and maintain very well. We understood that pandemic condition like this. Most of facilities will be reduced. But still need to keep maintain the building facilities too. So for the next all the facilities and the room ready to use and sell with excellent condition. Anyway. Overall was good. I have a good experience overall, especially with the administration process from check-in until check-out has a high flexibility process, I have forgotten to give the key back to the reception when check-out, while I'm already at the office, and they give me a solution to coming back to the hotel after office hours to give the key back, which I think that a simple solution with saving so much time for me. And I want to give a compliment to Mr Adrian at the front office, taking care of my administration process very well from check-in until check-out, also accompanied by the key problems. Mr Adrian also gives an extra service even if it's only a simple thing, but it matters. Overall I liked this hotel and everything works fine, but I have a recommendation, maybe the room needs to be installed with full carpet, it will feel more luxurious and warm, which can level up the guest experience. Thank you Sotis hotel, see you on another staycation.

i used to like this hotel, but upon this recent stay i think this will be my last. no more. i tolerate the no soundproof room, the lack of amenities, that makes me have to call housekeeping just for shower cap or slippers. but breakfast time is bad experience, i regret buy the breakfast, since the variety just meh, the taste yah udahlah. it's like they didn't bother trying, but their outfit policy is ridiculous, no hotel's slippers but people just can smoke anywhere? why instead of telling people on dress code for breakfast that's not even worth it (even the 5 star hotel never tell us what to wear by the way) they just improve the management and provide a non smoking area… i've seen people bring their baby and force to sit near smoke person. it doesn't have to be a family friendly hotel to have decent logic and emphaty. perhaps you should train your employees (especially mbak2 who think she was the guardian of the hotel slippers rules) rather than telling people they can not use their slippers that you provide anyway, they should tell people to not smoking near the food or near babies, or simply just saying good morning have a nice day, it is basic hospitality standard. some rules not worth the ruin of other people's day. especially when you are in hospitality business. i'm glad some of the guests are also complain this ridiculous policies to the manager anyway. the smoke from the rooftop bars even enter the room. it's definitely my final stay here. thanks to the mbak who guard the breakfast dress code instead of making the guests comfortable during their stay. i don't usually make a review, but this stay was very disappointed one.

checkin staff was not so friendly, my room was very bad in form of cleanliness and ambiance. old tv, the room feels like not well taken care. only got bodywash. i dont know why i got the bad room even thoughi have previously stayed in this hotel as well and got the good one. the only plus point was the strategic location.
