Super nice place, a bit old but well maintained

Maya Ubud is a beautiful resort set within truly exceptional grounds. The lush surroundings are undoubtedly the standout feature of this expansive property and create a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. However, as a family of four we found the room space quite limited, and the bathrooms are beginning to feel dated and could benefit from some modernisation. Where we felt the resort fell short was the level of service, which unfortunately was inconsistent across several areas of the hotel. During our stay, only one restaurant was open for dinner. We dined there one evening and, although the food was enjoyable, the service was extremely slow. We waited around 45 minutes before anyone took our order, and it took almost two and a half hours for our main course and dessert to be served. We experienced similar issues at breakfast, where our hot drinks only arrived after we had finished eating, despite reminding the staff twice. The pool facilities were lovely, but service there was also lacking. We had to find an attendant to request towels and then set up our loungers ourselves. Throughout this trip we stayed at several other hotels, all of which consistently delivered warm, attentive and proactive service. The resort was incredible - beautiful property. The room and private pool were very serene. I loved that you could reserve a breakfast box because I left many mornings quite early to see the sunrise at different locations. They prepared a box for me to take on my trips each morning. The only thing I could criticize was that dinner service was a bit slow. It was a wonderful place to stay and I will definitely be back!

We loved Maya resort! It is truly beautiful and relaxing, with picturesque infinity pools and tranquil setting, as well as complimentary morning yoga sessions. Everything was perfect! Reasonable pricing and great quality food! Highly recommend!!

I liked the hotel but the staff were not very helpful. They said they can book me a taxi to my next destination and after I cancelled with my other driver they said they can’t anymore and they didn’t have any solutions or help for me so that ruined my plans on the last day and it wasted a lot my time trying to figure out how to get to my next destination because it wasted during a time where there was a lot of traffic in Bali.

We recently stayed at Maya Ubud for 2 nights with our family, and it was an absolute dream. The property grounds are incredibly extensive and meticulously well-maintained—every corner feels like a lush, tropical paradise that seamlessly blends into the natural jungle. The overall environment is deeply serene, offering the perfect peaceful escape from the bustling center of Ubud. ​Two highlights truly stood out for us: First, the riverside spa is world-class. Having a massage right by the rushing river, surrounded by nature, was an incredibly therapeutic experience. Second, as a family with dietary preferences, we were thrilled by the breakfast spread. They offered a fantastic, extensive variety of vegetarian-friendly options that were both delicious and high-quality. ​Maya Ubud balances luxury, nature, and family comfort perfectly !!

Superb breakfast very delicious lots of variety. Lots of outdoor pools. Very clean rooms. Amazing staff very helpful highly recommended it’s very beautiful resort and have a wonderful spa :):):)

The resort is pure heaven. it has everything you could imagine, right in the middle of a forrest. amazing food but not super expensive. every night they have cultural shows. infinity pools are amazing. Spa is fabulous. the fact that it's ownership is local probably making the most difference. don't look anywhere else.

Food was great and staff were helpful

Loved stay at Maya Ubud! The location was great for going into town but I honestly didn't want to leave the resort! I loved the adult infinity pool. My room was great with a comfortable bed and turn down service. The dance shows at dinner were fun too. I do recommend taking bug spray if you walk on the riverside trail; I got at least 40 mosquito bites on a very short walk there. I also recommend a trip to the spa!
