St. Helens is an amazing property. This hotel is well located in South Dublin and the staff were above and beyond helpful. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the food was very good. The rooms were well appointed and clean. We look forward to recommending this to our friends and family.

Good standard hotel with period features, lovely gardens and very helpful staff. Placed between city centre and Wicklow hills it is a good base for seeing both and an easy walk to UCD. Parking is plentiful and the 6 new EV chargers in underground car park are a plus. Rooms are a little dated in terms of equipment but furniture is recent. Beds very comfortable . Sound proofing between rooms is not great. Overall good vfm in a very expensive city.

It needs an update to compete at 5 star level. Mini fridge out of order - No cold drinks for us, usb outlets - only some work, AC kinda has its own plan on how to accommodate you. (It was cool enough but profoundly confusing and didn’t really seem To blow much.) staff in the lounge may or may not swing by and welcome you or offer you a drink. I don’t want you to think it’s bad, it’s not! We loved the atmosphere, the people, the beautiful buildings with some funny quirks. Just it takes more that checking all the boxes (in room hairdryer, Ironing board etc etc) to be truly 5 star. Close though!

Beautiful hotel, absolutely gorgeous building and garden. Room was spacious and nice. Breakfast was a bit disappointing with having to ask for coffee after 20 mins and very ok but basic selection (some grapes were moldy) . Our stay was ruined though by one of us getting an allergic reaction the brownie at the orangerie that shouldnt have contained nuts.
