The Palm at Playa

Large, comfortable room that was quiet at night. Rooftop was very nice, a great place to hangout in the pool and get a margarita. Location was perfect right off 5th Ave.

Excellent location, friendly staff, outdated but clean rooms, the rooftop area is amazing! Recommended for budget travelers looking for a nice hotel near the Quinta Avenida and the entertainment area of Playa.

First room was terrible …they moved us to another.No shower pressure and the knob was broken. Water was scalding hot The guys were nice and tried to help. Blankets were torn. The hotel was overall very dirty. There was no tv in the first living room. The mirror was splattered with cleaner!

Nice hotel .. needs some updating .. there were no pool parties as you see online..I felt like we had to ask for everything .. like a blanket.. beds only had one sheet on them.. have to leave your driver license for a hair dryer

Great location, clean, close to 5th avenue steps away from the beach.

I initially booked a week stay at the Palm and received a warm welcome from reception on arrival. I had booked a loft room which was large for one person and it had a lovely balcony overlooking Calle 8th and the corner of 5th which was great for people watching. The hotel has an amazing location next to all the bars and shops on 5th but if you’re a light sleeper or enjoy an early be warned you may want to bring ear plugs as it gets quite noisy with music blasting from surrounding bars and hotels and the music from the palm’s own rooftop. The housekeeping were amazing the room was spotlessly clean throughout my stay, however cleaning times varied each day it could be 11am or 2pm and my room was not cleaned on the final day as I asked them to come back a bit later which they didn’t. The Palm has a lovely upstairs pool area with bar, restaurant and great views looking out to the ocean, the service is ok and staff could have been friendlier. The palm is rated as a four star hotel but I can’t quite agree with this rating for the following reasons: - bed linen had cigarette holes in it - bath towels were small and all stained - beach towels were not proper towels and made of a cheap cloth - coffee grounds in my room were not given for all of my stay - the pool was filled with dead flies & needed more regular cleaning. Overall a very pleasant stay but management needs to work on attention to detail for a perfect stay.

Estadia de fin de semana placentera para celebrar por el día de las madres. Su ubicación hacen una perfecta estancia, las paredes de la habitación requiere pintura y más detalles de limpieza, sin embargo es comoda. No nos dejaron shampoo, y en el labavo dejaron acondicionador no jabón. Hubiera sido beneficios para ambas partes, que nos brindaran los beneficios por ser miembros Expedia VIP, ya que tuvimos que preguntar...etc, Nos comebtaron al checkin que estaba Prohibido fumar en todas las instalaciones del hotel, el cual descubrimos es condominio, pir lo cual subimos a conocer el roof pero la primer noche cenamos fuera ya que queriamos fumar y pues perdieron ese ingreso ustedes. Al dia siguiente la pasamos genial en el roof, conocimos en el roof a Antonella, y es por ella que danos las 5 estrellas de este review ya que es super servicial y amable. Aunque fue al final del día que nos enteramos podiamos fumar, ya que le comentamos que ya nos.ibamos para poder fumar y de haber sido por la mala info del check in la estancia hubiera mejorado la experiencia. En fin, gracias por todo. Todos muy amables en el roof. Jardines muy lindos, elevadores y áreas comunes limpias. Habitacion comoda. Gracias, volveremos quizá por su ubi, comodidad y ambiente en el roof.

Our second visit in the last 10 months, already planning the third, the Palm is absolutely a gem we love it

The room was a good size. The shower had two shower heads but we were only able to use one. Once the shower head was on it created a major leak in the room. There aren’t any additional towels or blankets. We loved how close it was to everything but the smell in the room is overwhelming.
