Smooth easy helpful check in, friendly staff, good veggie options including oat milk in cafe /restaurant.
Have previously stayed at the Glasgow Central Ibis Styles in George Square for its proximity to the concerts we were attending & when I booked I presumed that this was the same place, thinking there was only one Ibis Styles Glasgow Central but only realised it was not the case on the evening before staying. This was too late to change the booking (I tried phoning but as I only had a USA number it quickly used up my phone daily credit before there was any answer. I used the Chat option but was told exchanges could not take place without cancelling and being charged. For future clarity, would it be possible to differentiate the two Ibis Styles more clearly ie the one near George Square could be named Glasgow Merchant City Ibis Styles and the one on Waterloo Strest Glasgow Anderston Ibis Styles?

Location and value were brilliant, nice staff and great place all around. Room was clean and easy to access. Great bar as well.

A nice weekend stay. Staff was very helpful during Storm Éowyn.
Good breakfast. Simple dinner menu.
Bar and pool table.
The hotel, rooms and lift were cold. Could use more heating.

Bed wasn't comfortable, duvet very thin, more like a summer duvet, considering it's winter would have benefitted from a heavier one. Couldn't get heating to work, had to end up getting someone to look at it then in the end were given a fan heater! Extremely disappointed with our stay which was supposed to be for a nice evening!

Fantastic staff and very simple check in, basic hotel with bar, restaurant and cafe. Funky no frills rooms. Negatives is can be noisy due to location of traffic and also hallway noise. Room surfaces not that clean and hard pillows. The friendly staff made up for the negatives.

We really enjoyed our experience on our too brief stay at this hotel. Amazing value for money, perfect and great location for Glasgow. Were not particularly city loving people but we really enjoyed the city itself too.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and rooms were great. However this time room I got was not so good.
Not all lights worked, it was a very cold night outside but the heating in room was not working great and went off over night so room was uncomfortably cold. Then shower drain was not working right either ad shower door didn’t close properly and when got out shower floor was flooded and water nearly reached carpet in room.
Informed staff on checking out.

A good hotel in a good location especially if travelling by train to Central Station. The decor is quite quirky! Only complaint we had was that the had run out of Prosecco on a Saturday at 4pm…not a big deal but not good planning considering it was a weekend and close to Christmas.

Booked a twin room for two adults, was given a rokm with a double and sofa bed. Sofa bed very uncomfortable and pillows very soft, no support.poor nights sleep.

It was terrible to say the least. Staff were good but the state of the room was inhabitable. I couldn't sleep properly due to it's being freezing cold. I asked for an extra doubet but still it didn't help. The heating through overhead AC was bad, not good enough for the whole room never made the back of it eg. bathroom warm. This the worst experience I've ever had. I paid too much for this awful hotel room. Again, staff were helpful but the environment wasn't. I might ask for my money back. Instead of comfort they gave me pain. Not again!
