Hotel was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and replenished frequently. The only slight issue I had was one of lifts stopped working for a little while but would definitely stay again.

Great hotel minutes from railway station. Situated in the shopping mall with great shops and restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely touch giving us free vouchers for drinks and coffee and money off vouchers for discounted food & drinks.

Lovely helpful lady at check in . Room was clean , and a very good size . Was pretty quiet in room even being so close to railway tracks . Both slept well . A fridge in room would have been useful . Bathroom a bit worn and dated . Right in centre of town so that was great ! Didn’t eat there as had plans so can’t comment . Overall a very nice stay and would recommend.

Stayed over 2 nights ,so handy for the tivili theatre , just over the road . Also in one of the shopping centres and right at station so very convenient . Room was roomy and bed comfortable . Breakfast Buffet was fine too definately value for money .

Food and drink in the bar was good. TV in the room didn't work which turned out to be the ariel having being pulled from the socket. Pulling the desk out to reveal the socket I found so much dust, used mouldy teabag, general rubbish and a 50p piece (so not all bad). The room had obviously never been checked other than superficially. The bathrooms are really dated, very very basic. Toilet loose and banged against the wall when sitting. Water pressure poor on shower. Air con didn't work and was too hot in the night. No view from the window, Doors banging at all hours as it is impossible to close them softly. Breakfast poor, especially considering the charge. Watery scrambled eggs, bacon hit and miss, half and half cooked rashers, pastries doughy and heavy. The hotel is conveniently located but I won't be staying again. £60 for three nights for parking in Union Square and no hotel discount. World Cup Football was on, everybody in the bar watching but no sound, only muzak and we were told they "were not allowed" to turn the sound on. Staff friendly enough but this place needs a serious update and management need to gauge value for money, room quality and cleanliness.

Our 'superior' double room had a rusty cracked sink, stains on the carpet, bedframe and walls. There were hairs from previous guests by the toilet. And a dirty old ironing board hanging outside the wardrobe was the centrepiece of the room. Our expensive breakfast had no other fruit apart from melon. Very disappointing visit. The staff were friendly and very helpful!
