Easy check in and the receptionist gave us some ideas of where to go which we did (thank you). Rooms were large and well decorated and cleaned. Ideal location as we’d arrived by train. Would definitely come again.

The location is very good, between the old town and the new town, almost in front of Waverley Station. The room was very clean, and silent. The only minor inconvenience was that the room was too hot, but we turned on the A/C and problem solved. The view from our room was great.

Enjoyed my stay here. The only thing I didn’t like was the smell of the lobby and the entry way to the rooms. It was very strong. Gave me a headache every time I walked to/from my room. Tone the air freshener down. Other than that, everything was good.

Good hotel Once you work out your bearings very central up the leg to old town out the front round the corner and through the train station for new town so easy. Hotel was lovely and comfortable rooms a great size Check in was bit flippant but otherwise ezcellent

There was a really helpful member of staff (male, Scottish, Newcastle fan - I’m a Sunderland fan so that should show how good he was! ) who gave us advice about where to go and helped with our bags and check in

Was asked prior to arrival if we wanted to upgrade our room choice. We said yes to a cost of £30 per night extra for an Executive Room which had a Queen Bed if available. Arrived and asked when booking in if we had been upgraded. Staff confirmed we had. Got to the room but we had a small double and a single bed in our room. Went back down to question the upgrade to be told because of the renovations the hotel was having we were given the room we were in instead of an Executive room we'd hoped. Staff were generally good overall. Hotel clean despite the renovations. Be good in future to let guests know work is going on. Might help with continuing a booking or not.
