Recommended to take this trip. The trip lasts for 3-4 hours, the guide was friendly, the car was spacious since it ended up only three of tourists taking the morning trip. All fee for boat and entrance was included. They provide life jacket and snorkeling equipment, the boat crews were very good at swimming so they can guide you. And in the morning, the spot was quiet and less crowded, especially the rangko cave. They don’t provide lunch, but since it ended up at lunch time it was perfect. Recommended to take the morning trip!

Best time to take the tour is in the afternoon. that's when the sun will lit up the cave arround 1PM-3PM. I took the morning session so the cave was dark... and it's a slippery slope on rainy day, so choose propper footwear to go

This ended up being a private tour because of it being low season. I was collected on time in a lovely clean spacious car. The driver was kind and courteous and took some pics for me, and had cold bottled water. After the first stop I was transferred to the boat. The guys were really nice, taking pics, and even letting me steer. Because it was just me they let me take more time in some places and less in others. The snorkle and flippers provided were good. They helped with my bags and it was really just an idyllic experience. I really wanted to go to Batu Cermin so the driver dropped me off there instead of my hotel which was really useful. I found the price was also less than what I could find in town for one person so that was an added bonus too. Just a great trip

The trip was really good. Yesterday morning it turned out that I was the only participant but the trip still went on. While snorkeling, I met blue starfish and colorful corals, Rangko cave is nice plus the island is beautiful, and from the hill we can see a wider view of Bajo. The guide and driver are friendly and helpful in taking photos and videos. Recommended.

Great tour & friendly tour guide. I was the only one joining this tour, but I always felt safe & comfortable. The car was brand new & the guide always made sure I take a bottle of water with me when leaving the car. He was taking good pictures for me in the cave. It was quite dark in the cave at the beginning & the water was pitch black, so I'd rather recommend to do the afternoon tour instead of the morning tour.

join this trip for snorkeling, but cancel snorkeling due to weather conditions. Should be able to be replaced with other activities (for example, replaced to mirror stone if the weather is bad for snorkeling) so as not to disappoint customers.

it's not worth it and very expensive. didn't go snorkeling because of bad weather, it doesn't matter, but at least give a discount, when you go to the hill and cave you have to pay this much. or at least replace the canceled service with another one. as a service provider you should understand that, I feel very disappointed. and it's really not worth it. the guide also can't take pictures, he's shaking all over.

More about Rangko Cave Tour & Snorkeling - 4 Hours

Rangko Cave Tour Snorkeling

Rangko Cave, a hidden gem near Labuan Bajo in Flores, Indonesia, is a natural wonder waiting to be discovered. With its clear blue water, stunning stalactites, and unique underground pool, this cave offers a rare experience that’s perfect for adventurous travelers. The Rangko Cave Tour Snorkeling package provides visitors with the chance to explore the cave’s beautiful surroundings and snorkel in its crystal-clear waters.

In this article, we'll dive into the details of the Rangko Cave Tour Snorkeling package, covering the itinerary, price, duration, and safety tips to ensure you have the best experience possible.

Rangko Cave, also known as Goa Rangko, is a natural limestone cave with an underground saltwater pool. Unlike other snorkeling spots that are typically on open beaches or reefs, Rangko Cave offers a more intimate experience as you snorkel inside the cave’s protected environment. The cave is relatively unknown to mass tourism, making it an off-the-beaten-path destination for those seeking tranquility and adventure.

When you enter the cave, you’ll be greeted by sparkling turquoise water that is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The sunlight that filters through the cave entrance creates a magical glow on the water, enhancing the natural beauty of the cave’s interior. The combination of stunning geological formations and serene waters makes Rangko Cave an unforgettable experience for snorkelers of all levels.

Itinerary & Highlights of Rangko Cave Tour Snorkeling

The Rangko Cave Tour Snorkeling package is designed to offer a complete experience, showcasing not only the beauty of Rangko Cave but also the surrounding area. Here's what you can expect on this 4-hour adventure:

1. Pick-up from Labuan Bajo

The tour begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel or meeting point in Labuan Bajo. After a short drive to the pier, you’ll board a boat that will take you to Rangko Village, located near the cave.

2. Boat Ride to Rangko Cave

After reaching Rangko Village, you'll take a short boat ride through calm waters to the entrance of the cave. The boat ride itself offers stunning views of the coastline, with its clear blue waters and picturesque islands dotting the horizon.

3. Exploring Rangko Cave

Upon arrival, you’ll enter the cave through a small, rocky entrance. Once inside, you’ll find yourself in a cool, shaded area with crystal-clear water waiting to be explored. The main highlight of the tour is, of course, the cave itself. You’ll have plenty of time to swim, snorkel, and relax in the pool while marveling at the unique stalactites and stalagmites that line the cave walls.

The calm water inside the cave is perfect for snorkeling, allowing you to get up close and personal with the underwater features. The quiet, peaceful atmosphere makes it easy to immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings.

4. Relax and Swim at Tanjung Rangko Beach

After exploring Rangko Cave, you’ll head to nearby Tanjung Rangko Beach, a beautiful, quiet beach where you can relax, swim, or sunbathe. The beach offers soft white sand and clear waters, making it the perfect spot to unwind after your cave exploration. You can also take this opportunity to snorkel in the open waters around the beach if you’re feeling adventurous.

5. Return to Labuan Bajo

After enjoying the beach, you’ll return to Labuan Bajo via boat, where the tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel or the initial meeting point.

Safety Tips for Visiting Rangko Cave

Visiting Rangko Cave is a thrilling adventure, but it’s important to keep safety in mind, especially if you’re planning to snorkel inside the cave. Here are some safety tips to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience:

  • Watch Your Step

The cave entrance can be rocky and uneven, so be sure to wear sturdy footwear with good grip. Walking carefully will help you avoid any slips or falls.

  • Bring a Waterproof Light Source

While the sunlight illuminates the water during the day, the deeper parts of the cave can be darker. Bringing a waterproof flashlight can enhance your snorkeling experience and help you navigate safely inside the cave.

  • Stay Hydrated

The humid conditions inside the cave can cause dehydration, especially after swimming or snorkeling. Be sure to bring plenty of water and stay hydrated throughout the tour.

  • Listen to Your Guide

Your guide is there to ensure your safety and enjoyment. Always listen to their instructions, especially when navigating the rocky terrain or entering the water.

  • Check the Weather

The weather in Flores can change rapidly, so it’s always a good idea to check the forecast before your trip. Strong winds or rain can affect the boat ride to and from the cave.

  • Don’t Stray Too Far

While snorkeling, it’s important to stay within the designated area. The cave pool is relatively small, so there’s no need to venture far. Keeping close to the group ensures safety and makes the experience more enjoyable for everyone.
