Located 30 km east of Hai Phong city center, the Cat Ba Archipelago comprises 367 islands with a rich and diverse natural ecosystem, featuring outstanding biological values such as primary forests, limestone mountain forests, Himalayan cypress forests, caves, mangroves, tidal flats, saltwater lakes, coral reefs, and rare animal species. It is recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve. Among these, Cat Ba Island—also known as the “Pearl Island”—is the largest of the 1,969 islands in Lan Ha Bay.

With the Sun World Cat Ba cable car, visitors can admire panoramic views of this “pearl” of the Gulf of Tonkin via the world’s most modern cable car route, connecting Cat Hai Island’s center to Cat Ba town. Taking the cable car is fast but the waiting time in line is quite long. The staff doesn't know how to arrange and handle things, making the situation of pushing and shoving very unpleasant.

The trip from Hai Phong to Cat Ba is always more crowded with staff than the trip from Cat Ba to Hai Phong. There are not enough ticket sales staff.

Although I have taken the cable car many places in both the South and the North, this is the first time taking the cable car in my hometown Hai Phong (although the cable car has been in operation for a long time). With such good ticket prices and quality, it promises to have many more customers taking the cable car and experiencing it. Thank you Sun Group.

From the entrance of Sun World to the station, there are no motorbike taxis, taxis or transfers, you have to walk about 1.5 km with a lot of luggage, so it is very tiring especially on hot days. The shuttle bus service from the station to the center of Cat Ba is very expensive for customers.

The cable car is empty, I bought a ticket in advance, so just go straight ahead, no need to wait in line, 3 people in my family have a cabin, clean, spacious, the cable runs smoothly. The seascape is not very beautiful and the traffic is not synchronized when coming to the island
