Lorena is one of the major players in the land transportation industry. Established in 1970, the bus company (PO) has served more than 60 cities in Java, Bali, and Sumatra. On 9 September 1970, G.T. Soerbakti founded CV Lorena. The name was taken from the name of his first child, Eka Sari Lorena Soerbakti. Although it had been established since 1970, it was not until 1973 that this bus company (PO) was officially operating. Lorena began its history by serving a short intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) route of Bogor – Jakarta via Cibinong with two Mercedes-Benz OF 1113 buses in its fleet. In its development, Lorena continues to increase the number of its fleets and travel routes. In 1975, Lorena opened the Jakarta – Bandung route via Puncak. Lorena also reached a new milestone by introducing long-distance intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) routes in 1984. Beginning with the Jakarta – Surabaya route, Lorena then added more routes to other cities in Java within the same year. This achievement also marked a new era of Lorena services, since its fleets had been equipped with facilities such as air conditioning, reclining seats, toilets, audio-video entertainment facilities, smoking area, as well as snacks and meal services. As the business grew, Lorena continued to develop strategies to maximize its operational activities. In 1989, Lorena acquired PO Raseko. The bus operator was then rebranded under the name PT Ryanta Mitra Karina, or commonly known as PO Karina, in the same year. This business unit focuses its services on intercity and interprovincial (AKAP) routes to Jakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Madura, and Denpasar. In 2002, CV Lorena was rebranded into PT Eka Sari Lorena Transport to increase the company’s professionalism. The effort to continuously improving its quality finally earned Lorena the ISO 9001:2000 certificate in 2003, meaning Lorena has successfully met international standards for quality management systems. This achievement made Lorena the first land transportation company to obtain the ISO 9001: 2000 certificate. With a headquarter located on Jl. K.H. Hasyim Ashari Dalam No. 15 C.2, Gambir, Central Jakarta, this bus company has now reached more than 60 cities across Java, Bali, and Sumatra. Lorena also provides a range of bus services, from the executive, VIP, to business classes, to maximize its service. The executive bus serves only the East Java and Bali routes. With a capacity of 32 reclining seats in a 2-2 format, each executive passenger can also enjoy a comfortable journey with facilities such as air conditioning, audio-video entertainment facilities, toilets, smoking area, pillows, and blankets. Meanwhile, the VIP bus serves the Sumatra and southern Java routes. The VIP buses are equipped with 40 reclining seats in a 2-2 format. Other facilities also include air conditioning, audio-video entertainment facilities, toilets, smoking area, pillows, and blankets. Last but not least, Lorena also offers business class buses with a capacity of 53 reclining seats in a 2-3 format. Every business class passengers can also enjoy essential facilities such as air conditioning, audio-video entertainment facilities, and toilets. In addition to its well-maintained fleets, Lorena also puts its customer satisfaction as its number one priority by ensuring that every aspect of the service is of the highest quality possible. Each Lorena crew and staff is required to serve passengers according to the company’s motto, which is patient, polite, and smile. Due to its quality of service, Lorena has successfully achieved numerous awards from various government organizations, as well as international acclaims. Some of the awards include the Best Land Transportation & Depo Management Award in DKI Jakarta from Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation, Golden Asia Award for Excellence 2002 in Hong Kong, International Transportation Award 2002 in Belgium, and a lifetime achievement award in land transportation from Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation in 2011. In addition, its expertise in the field of land transportation services also won Lorena the tenders to operate two Transjakarta corridors in 2007 and three Transjakarta feeder routes in 2011.

Passengers must show (1) a negative rapid antigentest that was performed at the longest 24 hours before boarding time or a negative PCR test that was performed at the longest 48 hours before boarding time
Passengers must show their vaccine certification if they are traveling in PPKM areas. The certificate must show that the passenger has received at least their first vaccination.
Passengers under the age of 12 are temporarily restricted from traveling.
Ticket is only valid for the passenger, date, and time as written in the ticket.
Maximum baggage is 20 kg. Otherwise, passenger will have to pay an extra charge amounting 2% of the ticket price.
Lorena will not be responsible for any loss of personal items.
Animals are not allowed in the bus.
Passengers are not allowed to carry illegal drugs.
Passenger failing to arrive at the boarding point on time cannot ask for a refund.
The bus staff has the authority to change the passenger's seat number in critical situations.
Passengers must keep their bus tickets with them at all times.
Departure time can change and will be informed to the passengers 2 hours before the initial departure time.
Departure time, bus type, and bus route can change without prior notice due to operational reasons.
If the bus is canceled due to mechanical failure and no other bus is available, the passengers will get a full refund.
Any claims made by passengers, such as a claim for bus delay or accidents, cannot amount more than the ticket price.
Passengers must get off at the arrival point as written in the ticket.
The bus staff has the authority to remove passengers who violate the bus' terms and conditions.
After booking is complete, your bus ticket cannot be canceled and you cannot ask for a refund.
You cannot change your bus schedule after booking is complete.
