DayTrans was founded in March 2006 under the name PT Artha Prima Perkasa Lintas Era. On October 8 2009, all shares and management of the company were taken over by PT Panorama Transportation, Tbk. Along with these changes, this business unit then changed its name to PT DayTrans on November 2 2009.
DayTrans started its service by opening a travel route (shuttle) from Jakarta to Bandung and vice versa. In 2010, DayTrans then added a new fleet to expand its service area. Starting from 10 fleet units with 36 scheduled departures every day, the DayTrans fleet then grew to more than 80 fleets capable of serving 280 scheduled departures every day.
Since then, DayTrans has developed into a professional and quality transportation and goods delivery service company. The travel (shuttle) service can also be enjoyed in several cities on the island of Java with the new routes it has introduced, such as the Yogyakarta – Semarang, Yogyakarta – Solo and Semarang – Solo routes. To further pamper its customers, DayTrans also presents a membership system called DayTrans Addict. This system allows customers to get a 10% discount on travel tickets and enjoy an exclusive waiting room at the DayTrans Senayan City branch office.
Due to the quality of its service, DayTrans has now become one of the favorite travel (shuttle) service providers for many users. This can be seen in DayTrans' achievement in becoming the choice for exchanging the most Telkomsel points in West Java at Telkomsel Point 2015. Not only that, DayTrans even continues to expand its business by opening an intercity expedition service called DayTrans Express Courier Service. This service makes it easier for customers who want to make express deliveries at more affordable prices. Utilizing the DayTrans travel bus (shuttle) service which is spread across several points in big cities on the island of Java, customer packages or documents can arrive in a maximum of five hours.
Even though DayTrans's experience as a land transportation service provider cannot be doubted, DayTrans continues to focus on carrying out its mission to provide the best service. Apart from using a fleet with environmentally friendly engines, such as the Isuzu Elf and Toyota Hiace Commuter, DayTrans also uses the Toyota Hiace Commuter for its premium services. This MVP car has a luxurious design and large capacity, so it can accommodate many passengers without reducing the feeling of safety and comfort.
Not only that, DayTrans also serves with professionalism to ensure customer satisfaction. Both on-time departure schedules and strategic pool locations in the city center, these things are the company's main concerns. Various facilities have also been added to each fleet, such as comfortable and spacious seats, complete with armrests, entertainment facilities via an LCD TV screen called DayTrans Cinema, reading lights, cool air conditioning, GPS tracking system, seat belts, and music.
