You can also take intercity buses. The bus journey from Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay, takes about 6-7 hours, while the trip from Foz do Iguacu in Brazil takes just 30 minutes. Renting a car for a more convenient trip is also an option. There is a toll road connecting the city with Asuncion and Foz do Iguacu.
