The tower's official mascot is "Tawakkie," known for its large eyes. However, "Terebi-Tōsan" (Father of Television), an unofficial mascot introduced in May 2002, has become more popular. Terebi-Tōsan is characterized by its dark red body and dark green loincloth. The elevator to the observation deck is on the third floor and takes about 60 seconds to reach.
