Parangtritis Beach is known for its black sand, strong waves, and beautiful sunset views. Adventurous visitors can try kite-flying or riding an ATV along the beach. Several caves, historical sites, and sand dunes resembling a Middle Eastern desert can also be found nearby. Interestingly, this area is believed by locals to be a gateway to the underwater kingdom of Nyai Roro Kidul, the sea goddess in Javanese mythology.
