Founded as a small temple in 1906, Po Lin Monastery is now an important center for Buddhism in Hong Kong. The most famous sight here is the gigantic Tian Tan Buddha statue, but the monastery's beautiful flower garden and inner halls are also worth a visit. Visitors can also eat as the monks do at the monastery's vegetarian restaurant.
