The Haruka Limited Express is the fastest way into the city, running non-reserved seats from around ¥2,380 and reserved seats from around ¥2,910, reaching Tennoji in about 35 minutes and Shin-Osaka in around 45 to 50 minutes. It's worth knowing the Haruka doesn't stop at Osaka Station itself, only Tennoji and Shin-Osaka, so travellers headed to Umeda or central Osaka need to transfer onward from one of those stations.

For a direct route to Osaka Station in Umeda, the regular Kansai Airport Rapid Service on the JR line is the more practical choice, running considerably cheaper than the Haruka at the cost of a longer journey, typically 65 to 70 minutes.
