Indonesian Appetite for Traveling is High Again, BRI launches Online Travel Fair 2022 with Traveloka

Jakarta - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk held Online Travel Fair once again with Traveloka to fulfil Indonesian appetite to travel again. A variety of exciting promo are presented at the BRI Online Travel Fair on 23-25 Mei 2022, and can be accessed through Traveloka’s app and website, as well as the BRImo app.

During the BRI Online Travel Fair period, the users of BRI’s Credit Card, Online Debit, BRImo, and Direct Debit can enjoy up to 50% discount for transportation ticket booking, such as flight, train, bus, and accommodation products. In addition, Traveloka PayLater Card users and also bookings made via BRImo are eligible to obtain a bigger discount.

Previously, Super Apps Digital Banking BRImo, supported by the product inventory by Traveloka, has just launched a Travel feature. Through the feature, BRImo presented a more holistic solution in just one app.

Customers can book the ticket to transportation, accommodation, and bus and shuttle faster, safer, and more conveniently with BRImo. The feature also helps BRI users with more practical booking process, starting from choosing and booking transportation ticket and accommodation, fill in the destination and personal information based on the booking, payment, up to the e-ticket confirmation.

Besides, BRI and Traveloka Group have also collaborated in BRI Traveloka PayLater Card co-branding. More than a simple co-branding, the collaboration includes Application Programming Interface (API) service that enables card users to access various credit card services from Traveloka app, starting from card application, check application status, activation, card information, up to account mutation and card blocking.

With BRI Traveloka PayLater Card, users can enjoy a diverse range of exciting programs for Traveloka in-app transactions or in other merchants. The collaboration accelerates the commitment of both companies to provide a simple and convenient way for customers in fulfilling their travel and lifestyle needs. Besides, BRI Online Travel Fair also answering the increasing travel demand as the progress for COVID-19 cases has been positive and the ease of travel restriction by the government.

Director of Consumer Business BRI Handayani said that BRI Online Travel Fair is held once again with Traveloka as part of BRI’s effort to simplify and give the access to affordable tickets, especially for those who plan to travel again in the school holiday period. “We hope that the event will also contribute to economic recovery, especially in the tourism sector that has been recovering,” add Handayani.

According to Handayani, the program will boost Indonesians to buy transportation tickets easily and affordably. Easy because it can be done online through smartphone, and affordable as we have a variety of discount promo, especially for BRI loyal customers.

Moreover, BRI doesn’t stop at the BRI Online Travel Fair in giving the access and benefit for the customers that want to book travel tickets on Traveloka. BRI also has a “Weekly Deals” regular program with up to 20% discount for transportation ticket books such as bus, train, and flight. As well as culinary and experience merchants such as cinema and recreational ticket, special for BRI credit card users until December 2022.

Traveloka’s internal data shows that there was a surge in flight ticket booking during the D-14 Eid Al-Fitr holiday up to 100%, compared to the same period in 2019 (before pandemic). This indicates that people’s appetite to travel again is very high.
