Jakarta, 23 July 2021— In order to support the efforts of accelerating vaccine distribution and achieve the national target of vaccination recipients, the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry of Republic of Indonesia (Kemenparekraf RI) has forged a collaboration with MNC Peduli, Doktora Clinic, Traveloka, Mister Aladin, and GBI Glow Fellowship Center to present COVID-19 Vaccination Center services located at MNC Center Area Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta and at MNC Studios Area, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. These vaccination services officially operate on 23-27 July 2021 at 08.00-15.00 WIB for the first dose of vaccination and 20-24 August 2021 for the second dose of vaccination. The general public, including the elderly, are allowed to register themselves as the vaccine recipients at this Vaccination Center by showing an official identity card without domicile requirements.
Targeting a total of 6,000 vaccine recipients for the first dose during the implementation period, this initiative is a joint effort between the government and the private sector (public-private partnership/PPP) to accelerate the establishment of herd immunity, which has become the current focus of the government, as the key to tackling COVID-19 pandemic.
Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Angela Tanoesoedibjo said, "Vaccination is a part of our joint efforts to to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the government collaborates with various parties from across sectors to accelerate the distribution of vaccines in the country and enable people to get vaccinations at ease. I am very grateful for the support from all parties to realize this Vaccination Center so we can reach herd immunity soon. I also urge workers of the tourism and creative economy industries to take advantage of this Vaccination Center in order to speed up recovery in one of the most affected industries. We hope that 90-95 percent of the 34 million people who depend on the Tourism and Creative Economy sectors can get vaccinated.”
Taking part in supporting the Vaccination Center program through the procurement of locations and operational teams, MNC Peduli Chairwoman, Jessica Tanoesoedibjo said, "We are very pleased to be able to actively participate in helping the government to expand the national vaccination coverage, which is a real step in handling COVID-19. We hope the support from MNC Peduli in providing two locations of the Vaccination Centers will be able to reach more people who have not had access to vaccination. We also prepare an on-ground operational team that will assist the vaccination flow to ensure its safety throughout the whole process. We are committed to continuously synergize with the government and other industry players to help with the COVID-19 mitigation efforts in Indonesia.”
