According to Traveloka's internal research, the number of consumers planning to take a vacation during the Eid 2023 holiday period is increasing, based on the surge in domestic flight searches, which almost doubled compared to last year. Meanwhile, based on the Transportation Policy Agency (BKT) Survey, the Ministry of Transportation estimates that the movement of people will reach 123.8 million during Eid 2023 homecoming period. This number increased by 14.2% compared to the direction of people during Eid 2022, which reached 85.5 million people.
Traveloka also noted destinations that are most popular for users to celebrate Eid holidays, including Bali, Surabaya, Medan, Padang, and Yogyakarta for domestic destinations.
