Ho Chi Minh City, September 24, 2025 – Wellness tourism has become a defining trend in Vietnam as modern lifestyles drive stronger demand for holistic health and relaxation. Travelers are increasingly seeking experiences that improve physical well-being, relieve stress, and restore balance.
A global survey by the Wellness Tourism Association found that 76% of respondents are willing to spend more on wellness-focused trips, with 55% ready to pay extra for mental health therapies.
The report “Travel Redefined: Understanding and catering to the diverse needs of APAC travellers” conducted by Traveloka in collaboration with YouGov, also reveals that 26% of Vietnamese travellers favor relaxation and rejuvenation trips, matching the APAC average. Notably, 59% of Vietnamese respondents preferred beaches, above the APAC average of 56%, highlighting distinct priorities that shape their travel decisions.
According to Traveloka’s data, destinations such as Da Nang, Da Lat, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc remain traveler favorites for their unique mix of nature and wellness. From Da Nang’s luxury beach resorts and Da Lat’s cool highland retreats to Nha Trang’s hot springs and Phu Quoc’s holistic island escapes, these spots offer travelers a balance of relaxation and rejuvenation.
On Traveloka, the most-searched wellness services include massages, onsens, mud therapy, KOI fish treatments, as well as beauty and dental care, reflecting a growing appetite for diverse self-care experiences.
Alongside domestic escapes, Vietnamese travelers are increasingly drawn to regional and international destinations. In the first half of 2025, searches rose for Bangkok, Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore, Bali, Hong Kong, and Taipei, among others. These destinations appeal not only for their cultural similarities and proximity but also for their modern wellness centers, vibrant shopping hubs, diverse cuisine, and immersive cultural experiences.
