Central Vietnam Flood and Airlines Policy Update
As the complicated development of storms and floods in the central area, Traveloka suggests that passengers having plans to depart or/and arrive at airports in affected areas during this time should regularly update the weather situation as well as flight information from airlines.

Currently, airlines are implementing policies to support passengers who have departure and arrival from/to airports placed in affected areas, simultaneously, they have been changing their operating plans to completely ensure the passengers’ safety.
Vietjet Air has been implementing the unlimited free flight change policy, passengers only need to pay the fare difference (if any) to support those who travel from/to areas affected by bad weather.
- Scope of application: Passengers departing and arriving at airports in Hue, Dong Hoi and Vinh with travel period from 20/10/2020 to 15/11/2020.
- Policy: Unlimited changes to the date of flight (with a waiver of the date change fee), only differential fare applied (if any) with the new departure date from 21/10/2020 to 31/01/2021.
Note: Passengers need to make the reschedule at least 3 hours before the original scheduled departure time and before 11/15/2020.

Additionally, Vietjet has been offering free transportation for relief goods and giving priority to the fastest transportation on Vietjet flights departing from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi to Chu Lai, Da Nang, Phu Bai, Dong Hoi and Vinh since 19/10/2020. Bamboo Airways officially announces a policy to support customers having flights from/to Da Nang with departure dates from 26/7 to 15/8/2020.
- Reschedule: Reschedule fee will be waived for 1 time, any differential fare must be paid by customer (if any). Customers need to make the reschedule at least 4 hours before departure time. Customers can change the new flight time to 24/10/2020.
- Refund: For flights cancelled by impact of Covid-19, Bamboo Airways will apply the policy in unusual cases.
Note: Owing to receiving a great number of requests recently, Traveloka hopes to receive customer’s understanding that it will take more time than usual to solve your requests. As a result, Traveloka suggests that customers should contact us at least 48 hours before departure time to get prompt responses.
For travels coming up within 7 days: your requests will be handled within 2 (two) days.
For travels coming up in more than 7 days: your requests will be responded within 3 (three) days prior to your travel date.
Vietnam Airlines supports passengers flying to or from Vinh, Hue, Dong Hoi to change their flight tickets free of charge and one extra free bag.
- Scope of application: Passengers had tickets bought before 20/10/2020 with the flight from/to Vinh, Hue, Dong Hoi and the flight period from 10/10 - 27/10/2020.
- Policy: Passengers are eligible to change flight date 01 time free of charge with the new flight date from 20/10 - 31/12/2020.
Passengers departing from Vinh, Hue, Dong Hoi will have one free extra bag in addition to their class of service baggage (01 piece which is up to 32kg for Business Class and 01 piece up to 23kg for Economics Class) to the end of 31/10/2020.

Additionally, Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO) has been receiving relief supplies from the Fatherland Front, provincial and municipal popular committees and the Vietnam Red Cross and other social organizations licensed and transporting them to the people in Central Vietnam since 18/10/2020.
Bamboo Airways will apply regular policy on this situation.
