Was better than expected for this end of Sydney CBD. Very basic but clean and good bed. Double glazing on windows kept the traffic noise out.
I would not stay in rooms near the lift - large a/c system at that end. We were not near it.

The service was excellent! Paid $20 to be able to check in 3hours early. The mattress wasn’t the best but the room was good!

28 Hotel has great hospitality. Staff were very friendly and helpful at every interaction (including leaving bags prior to check-in, forgetting a key card, offer of free upgrade) and the availability of fruit, pastries and coffee/tea made for a lovely vibe in the lobby.
The room itself was pretty basic, but had all the important amenities including iron and board, hair dryer, TV, microwave, bar fridge, clean sheets, nice pillows.
I'd happily stay again.

Air conditioning was really loud and couldn't be turned off. Thankfully earplugs were available from reception but not ideal. Service and staff were great though.

Staff were excellent, attentive, polite and helpful.
The hotel itself was okay, the foyer was welcoming and clean.
Our room was again, okay.... Not very functional, the TV over the the side on a desk, really only allowing the person on the left side of the bed to watch. The bathroom, slightly dated, however spacious with a good size shower.
Amenities were basic.
However in saying that the accommodation served it's purpose, it was a secure location where we felt safe and comfortable.

If you are looking to stay around Central station this is an excellent option. Rooms are surprisingly quiet and staff are very friendly. It is only a few hundred metres from the station and close to UTS.
