Check-in was dependent on how busy staff were and we had to wait a further hour and a half after the stated time.
Very conveniently located in the CBD, basic but comfortable pub-style accommodation and surprisingly quiet considering it's central hub location

The accommodation is at the top of a hotel/pub which was busy upon arrival. Staff were helpful with check in. Rooms clean, compact. Dodgy power socket in the wall which came off completely when unplugging my device. Average spot for an overnight stay.

The location is brilliant, close to Town Hall and etc, but the window looks to all construction side and noise bad; in shower the handle wasn’t working and basin not working too; others are ok for night stay.

Great location, accomodating staff. I knew there was no elevator, so can't complain about that! Pub was great for happy hour and dinner. Bathroom was smallish and reminded me of being in an RV, but knew about that too. All in all a good place to stay for a couple of days.

I love staying @ The Criterion Hotel. It’s a fab old building, perfect location, simple amenities and comfortable.
If you’re a Diva - don’t come here. The stairs will be too hard for your precious self.
But if you want good accomodation, in the centre of mighty Sydders with cafes and restaurants and entertainment all around you, as well as some nature with Hyde Park so close and without having to secure a personal loan, The Criterion is it.
