Exodus Dandenong Apartment Hotel Guest Terms & Conditions and Payment Policy

1. Check-In and Check-Out

  • Check-in time: After 2:00 PM.
  • Check-out time: By 10:00 AM.
  • Late check-out: Subject to availability, charged at AUD 30 per hour.

  • Reception is open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (Monday to Sunday).

    • 3. Minimum Age and Guest Rules

  • Minimum age to check in: 18 years.
  • The hotel does not accept hens, stags, or similar parties.
  • Guests are not allowed to invite additional friends or visitors to their room. Meetings with external guests must be arranged in the reception area.

    • 4. Room Rules and Housekeeping

  • Smoking is prohibited inside the room or on the balcony. A fine of AUD 150 applies if smoking is detected.
  • Pets are not allowed on the premises.
  • Guests must maintain the room in a clean condition. A cleaning fee of AUD 50 applies if the room is found excessively dirty or smelly.
  • For long-stay guests, the hotel will provide weekly cleaning, which includes a change of linen and towels.

    • 5. Parking

  • Secured parking is available for an additional AUD 10 per day, subject to availability.

    • 6. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before check-in: no charge.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours or in case of no-show: Charged equivalent to two nights’ stay.
  • If a guest cancels after check-in, no refund is applicable.

    • 7. Security Deposit or/and Bond is required at check-in via credit card.

  • A refundable security deposit of AUD 200 for 1 to 7 days stay.
  • 1 to 3 Months stay Deposit: 2 weeks and refundable security Bond 2 weeks
  • 3 Months onwards stay Deposit: 4 weeks and refundable security deposit Bond 4 weeks
  • The deposit is refunded within 7 days of departure, subject to satisfactory property inspection.
  • Additional charges for damages, smoking, or cleaning may be deducted from the deposit.

    I’ve never written a review before, but I felt compelled to write this one. I booked a room for three people, only to find it had just one bed. The cutlery was dirty, the sheets weren’t clean, and the oven was filthy. The shower had a disabled seat that couldn’t be moved, and when we used it, the water overflowed onto the bathroom floor and into the apartment. The mattress had cigarette burns, the fridge was covered in stickers, and to top it off, there were underwear and clothes left on the balcony. There also weren’t enough utensils for three people, making it even more inconvenient. Overall, this was one of the worst accommodations I’ve ever stayed in—would never book again.

    Sadly this property was nothing like what images displayed it to be. At checkin we were advised our booked room was not available and we were going to be put in 2 seperate rooms. Then the parking was an added $10 p/night and the parking space only brought anxiety and worry. All parking bays at carpantry and furnishings around it, the space was cramed and the only way to get to the next level was to put your car in a lift!!! Which was not possible for a big car. Then the room - it was disty,, dirty, not adequayely made beds, no washing /dryer as advertised, no standard amenties, no daily cleaning of ribbish or service provided. The reception staff i dealt with initially was rude. The area was definitely not safe. Thankfully i received our partial refund and deposit which was probably the only positive

    We were there with another family that had to switch rooms because of the cockroaches The building is non compliant and renovations recently completed are terribly unsafe. There is a concrete mezzanine that is supported entirely by acro props.

    Got to our room, and there was cockroaches and mould all throughout the apartment. Complained and got moved to a sinle room apartment, so my son had no where to sleep. I then had to find my own mattress for him to sleep on and take bedding from old apartment so he had a pillow and doona. Reception didnt offer to refund or change our charges, so we payed for a 2 bedroom cockroach infested room when we ended up in a single apartment.

    Property is in good condition with parking ($10,- p/n). We stayed for two nights and though the amenities are good, including washer/dryer, the supply of cutlery (1 knife, 1 fork, 2spoons, one glass, 3 mugs, 2 plates, etc.). There was plenty of cupboard space, but all of them were empty. I don't know if they ever get replaced or are just taken by people that stay there. Signs on the street say "racism not tolerated", one can not but feel, that they are staying somewhere in the middle eastern region.

    For an apartment it was terribly under equipped. Not even cloths and dishwashing liquid to wash the dishes. There was graffiti on the toaster ?? And barely covered graffiti on the walls in the bathroom. On the plus side - the guy at the desk was helpful and the place is obviously being updated.

    The check in process was very welcoming, information and instructions were very clear and given with great Customer Service. Just a suggestion for next time is to provide dish washing cloth to wipe down benches and a tea towel. Coffee and Tea provided but there were no tea/coffee mugs to use ☹️. Was neat and tidy overall.

    I stayed for 5 days and no housekeeping was done. Had to take my deposit by 9am because I had an early flight but staff was not there by 9am, although I asked this the day before. I left at 915am with no staff in sight. I had to call in a favour from a friend from a different town to collect the deposit for me. When we called at 930, staff said he was there at 9. Not possible since I left a note at the reception and took a pic of my watch.

    The property was severely maintained. I received a cut from walking in the room barefooted. Guardings and skirting were falling apart. The utensils provided were incomplete. Rooms were not cleaned daily and only after requesting it the second time. We're almost late for our flight as the counter was not open in time as promised to receive our refund. We were not informed about this when we checked in.
