This is a boutique lodge. Very tasteful modern decor. Very clean and well maintained. The staff are accommodating and well informed about the area. The onsite restaurant was excellent.

and dinner. The restaurant is run separately from
lodge different owners. Breakfast not a available

We had a great night’s sleep. Our room was clean and quiet with a balcony with view of the vineyard and a great comfortable bed. We swam and relaxed by the pool then had a wonderful meal at the restaurant. Just a few steps from our room! Just what we were looking for.

The location was amazing, with some fantastic views and close to local attractions and vineyards!
Due to an error with the Expedia booking information reaching the hotel we did receive an upgrade for free.
The room itself was great, the outside and some some features needed some attention. Fresh coat of paint, securing the fly screen ect. Pool was quite small.
The aircon in the room was only in the front room and not the main bedroom, that has a ceiling fan.
Although not associated with the hotel the restaurant onsite is a must visit.

This place was just what we wanted for our two days in Hunter Valley. Our room was perfect for two and the breakfast supplied was A1. We sat out on our covered patio, swam in the pool. We highly recommend.

We spent 4 nights at Hermitage lodge in the Hunter valley. We had a duplex lodge with a full kitchen, living room, separate upstairs bedroom and bathroom, and balconies on both levels. Everything was immaculate. The location was perfect for visiting the vineyards and town of Cessnock. The lodge looked out over a small vineyard with a forested backdrop. I would definitely recommend Hermitage lodge as a place to stay in the Hunter valley.
