Quiet room, good breakfast. Room we were in had an interesting concrete feature in ceiling, but everything else was great. Good location (just south of Hyde Park). Much calmer than being in center of CBD but close enough. Liked having newspapers to read in the lobby.

Horrible hotel-our experience here was essentially ruined by the room itself. We had booked a Deluxe Corner Room, but the pictures failed to reflect that there was a huge, ugly, very unpleasant concrete abutment coming out to the ceiling. I had to duck under this to get to the windows to open and close the blinds. I can't believe that this hotel was so highly rated. When I approached the front desk about this, they shrugged their shoulders and informed me that all of their corner units had this flaw. They only had one other unit that fell into our room category so we went to look at that one. It had the same flaw-huge concrete abutment coming out of the ceiling of the room that was ugly and completely unpleasant. So, we passed on swapping rooms, stayed one more night and went and boarded up for our cruise. Highly UNrecommended.

The first morning we had an early tour, and the hotel provided us a boxed breakfast. The second morning we had the included buffet breakfast, which had a lot of variety. The room was clean with a comfortable bed! A wonderful stay!

Daily housekeeping was reliable. The only drawback was that every time the door of the room next to mine opened, the sound was so loud it felt as if my door had opened too. Big Beetle Bugs in room on the 8th floor. Water leaked all around the bottom of the shower soaked the entire bathroom floor. An abrupt uneven step into the bathroom meant you had to Learn NOT to hit your foot each time you used the bathroom. I told front desk about bugs and this was dismissed and ignored instead of being addressed. Breakfast was great.

I’m currently having brekky in the window of Song Kitchen and need to tell you of my wonderful stay. Saturday night I was in a micro queen balcony. As I woke, swaddled in the deliciously cosy cotton blanket, sipping a warming cuppa, I watched street sweepers and joggers welcome Sunday as the first rays lit Oxford Street. The staff glow as stewards of Song values and the sense of providing so much more than just a crash pad in the city. This is a unique and wonderful space. May the song ring out for many to hear.
