Property was good and staffs were ok.
I felt it was not kids friendly as no separate menu for kids.
Dinning hall seating arrangement is very much limited for group of 3 or 4 where as it has more for group of 2.
I felt this hotel may be good for professionals and rather not for families.

No towels available at swimming pool and not enough in room to bring down. Changing room floors covered in hair, had not been cleaned for a while. Broken lockers, no door to change, dirty changing rooms. Hot chocolate for €5 was only heated choco milk from a carton, not made.

Don’t stay here if you have children. The hotel has a discriminatory and unfair policy regarding its pool hours, whereby children may not use the pool after 6pm. It’s a ridiculous policy since families travelling on vacation are likely exploring the city during the day, which only allows the evening to enjoy the hotel facilities.
We would have booked another hotel if this policy was known. We shared screenshots of the Marriott website and the Marriott app that do not disclose the discriminatory pool hours for children. It was only after we pointed out the non-disclosure did management update the website.
Other items of note:
- The location is not great
- Restaurant staff are not very friendly and welcoming
- Front desk and housekeeping staff were pleasant
- Rooms and common areas are upgraded and modern
We would recommend staying somewhere else on your family trip.

Staff at the hotel were very welcoming and friendly.
The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, a couple of minutes walk from Brussels Luxembourg Station, its 10 euro by Uber to Grand Place.
The in house restaurant, the Poet, is very good and the bar informal with great staff.

Traveling family of five w a lot of luggage. From start to finish the service provided here was simply outstanding. We arrived to check-in later than expected and the concierge made our arrival seamless. They took care of getting our bags to our room so we could eat dinner at their restaurant, which was about to close. The restaurant, meal and service were great. Our server was very helpful and informative about the area. Late check out and luggage storage was accommodated. We were so very pleased w everyone and everything from start to checkout.

Convenient location, great staff and excellent facilities. A very good family-friendly option in Brussels. Rooms are spacious and well-maintained. Excellent bedding. In my room at least, the bathroom was a bit dated… but that comment is only meant to those readers who make a point of having a separate WC and for whom a spacious Italian shower is a must.

Hotel’s location is fantastic. Room bathroom bedding is great. All these are 5 star so far. The staff though is not what I expect from Renaissance. They are cold, definitely not friendly. These are not only 1, the receptionist who welcomed us as well as the staff who were welcoming at the restaurant. Quite disappointing as it paints the wrong perception about otherwise very good hotel
