Bamboleo Inn Belize

By US std = 2; By Belize City std =4. (Ramada Inn in Belize City = 2-- : US)The host was very nice & accommodating. He seems anxious to give you the best experience with what he has to work with. Room reasonably clean. Quiet if you don't take room upstairs by the "office". One room smelled moldy - we refused it & took a better one on 1st floor back. AC good. Wifi pretty good. Bed okay - claimed to be queen, but 2x. Only towel, hand towel & bar of soap; NO washcloth, bath mat, shampoo. Shower head needed cleaning: only a few small jets of water. "Studio" with microwave, sm. refrig, but NO dishes or silverware. Coffee, water & some fruit available free at office. Very good providing transportation to airport & eating establishments, but you pay $10 for every trip. Breakfast was excellent & generous - $10/person. Local neighborhood seemed fairly nice & safe for Belize City. For near airport options near Belize City, this is a very good pick & would recommend it considering local standards - just realize what those are.

The property is in a convenient location - 10 minutes from the international airport. It is a quiet and comfortable village. The property itself is very pretty and relaxing. The staff were excellent, friendly, and attentive. My only issues were cleanliness in the room; the blanket had hairs on it that weren't ours, and the sheets were definitely not pristine. Apart from that, everything was good. I would stay here again.

We felt very taken care of! The owner really goes out of his way to help with anything you need. The Inn is in a quiet location and the AC was great!

Modest and clean accommodations, the shower was awesome, hot water and great pressure. Would have liked an extra pillow each, but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Collin was an excellent host and cooked us a fresh breakfast.

Had an airport shuttle from the airport which was great. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Room was clean and breakfast the next morning was fantastic. Thanks for the great memory.

Property was clean and quiet. We had an excellent stay and the onsite management was very friendly and accomodating. He made us a wonderful breakfast, provided a shuttle and a recommendation for dinner and got us to the airport ontime. Thank you!

I had a great stay! The owner was incredibly responsive and replied quickly to questions. I was traveling solo and was unfamiliar to the area, so the pick-up and drop-off at the airport were perfect. My flight arrived early but the driver was able to pick me up before the planned time and even come find me on the other side of the airport. I felt comfortable and safe. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and one of the best I had on my entire trip! Communication was excellent. The room was spotless, comfortable, and the air conditioner and refrigerator in the room were exactly what I needed. I'm grateful for the exceptional service from all of the staff and will definitely stay here again on my next trip. Thank you for making the last day of my trip fantastic!

The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The host was helpful. There were no coffee mugs in the room on our 2nd day when had to leave early for flight

Wonderful stay. Basic but clean room. Quiet. Chuck and Denise are great hosts. You definitely want Denise to make you breakfast. She makes the best Fryjacks. It’s close to the airport so we booked it for our arrival night before heading onto our destination. So glad we booked for the night before departure.

At this price point, it's rare to find a well-maintained and clean property. Bamboleo Inn meets that high standard. It's in a quiet, low-traffic neighborhood of nice properties. But the real value here is with the new hosts, Graciano and Denise. They are super friendly and accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Denise served us a fantastic and delicious breakfast and a shrimp pasta dinner at a reasonable cost. The informal bar stocked with beers and local rums hit the spot after a long day. It is conveniently located close to the airport (BZE).

Staff were excellent. So welcoming and accommodating. Room was clean and spacious.

If you want to be treated like family, this is the place. A/C was appreciated as well as the complementary ride from the airport and back into town for dinner. The “continental” breakfast was scrambled eggs, veggies and cheese, special needs were asked about and provided. It’s outside of the city, new development of not-quite-finished larger houses sitting on canals. Birds galore!

The owner was very helpful in retrieving a lost item.

Very responsive to requests. Helpful and friendly owner and staff. The property listing states "Restaurant" however, you can buy a meal (good local cuisine) but it is whatever is being cooked that day. No menu. I am sure the cook would prepare food to meet your needs. I enjoyed the local meals.
