Great Blue Heron Hotel

The room was very simple, not all lamps worked in the room so it was rather dark. I know mattresses are a personal preference but both my husband and I woke with sore backs. The worst was the noise. We were in room 127, which must be right under the stairs because we could hear all the kids running up and down all evening. The worst, however, was the sounds heard when someone upstairs flushed the toilet or ran the shower/bath, you could would have thought it was coming through the ceiling. Unfortunately, there was no coffee in the room for me to enjoy while waiting for my husband to wake up. The hair dryer was good. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

Spotless

Staff were good. Room had no usable lighting. Bedside lamps were useless, table lamp was not bright and floor lamp had no bulb at all. They should have included free flashlights. The walk to the casino was not enclosed. You needed a coat and boots to get there.

Great staff, good buffet food , room is clean!

Room was spotless, staff was very helpful and even got me a different pillow that helped my neck! Food was delicious at the buffet! Really great stay!

Excellent hotel. We travel a lot and I’m very particular about where we stay. This hotel room was the cleanest room we have ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay.

Room was clean & soacious. Bed was comfy. Staff was very nice

Staff were excellent. We had a great overnight stay and enjoyed our time in the Casino. Trip to and back home was great too. Would highly recommend a visit to those that might be looking into doing the same. We shall be back in the future. Thanks to the staff.

Clean great staff

It was ok. The room was nice and spacious. However there was no coffee maker in the room which was a little annoying. There was only coffee served downstairs from a set hour and they often ran out of milk and cream. There was no free breakfast there's no room service and the only restaurant on site is the casino restaurant. The casino restaurant is ice cold because it's out and what looks like a tent style building and they must be renovating cuz it looks dumpy they have big sheets hanging in the front before you go in. The food was okay. But there's no delivery out here and you're at most 20-25 minutes from town and because it's little towns everything closes early. The casino was okay but they kept the lights on at full brightness the whole time which is really bizarre for a casino. The games were decent it's a semi okay casino but this is not a hotel and casino to go out of your way to come to. If you're stuck in this neck of the woods for a night it's totally fine but overall it feels very expensive for a very lackluster hotel. There's nothing to justify how expensive this place is especially being in the complete middle of nowhere. Absolutely not worth coming out to this Casino Hotel.

Clean room, courteous staff!

Room was clean and relatively new with courteous staff. The only issue with our stay was the noise in the room; the walls seen quite thin so toilets flushing and neighbour's 'activity' were not muffled very much.
