We were just here because we had a 24 hour layover between our trip on the west coast of the US to Europe, and it was absolutely perfect for our needs! We stayed in a room with a private bathroom, and it also had a full kitchen, and it was wonderful! Clean, quiet, super comfortable, spacious, great bed--just what we needed! The rooftop hot tub/pool was an awesome bonus! We were there on a random Tuesday in May so I don't know if our experience was representative of busier times, but it wasn't loud and the common areas weren't packed. We didn't check out the bar (we were really tired from all the previous travel!), but the breakfast area looked cool! We didn't venture out into the city, we were really just looking for a place to crash and relax, so I can't speak to the location--I'll say the immediate area it was in seemed a little sketch, but again, we just got DoorDash food so our only experience of the overall area was too limited to say. The staff was super helpful, check-in was easy, and the hotel itself felt very safe! Highly recommend--a total steal at the price!

Ian was the absolute best at reception. There’s so much to do! Super clean and great shower pressure. Only thing was someone in the room was snoring so horribly no one could sleep. Not the hostels fault, that person needs their own room.

Customer service was superb! The area is the Village. Very inviting and welcoming to all! The appreciation for abd of diverse groups and travelers is refreshing. Montreal is not as inviting as one may think. But the M Montreal hostel has an embracing culture. The property is also solo traveler friendly as well as family friendly. The area is conveniently located in the heart of Montreal by expressway and walking distance to Berri QUAM there you will find multiple train routes and buses to outskirts and old Montreal, Cafe shops and retail stores.... also a mall for shopping and the grand library.... It is in proximity to the bus (Greyhound and Flexibus, Orleans Express for travel to Quebec etc., and train (Amtrak VIA) depot. Walking distance. The colleges and universities and Mount Royal Park are close by. Within a minute is St. Catherines for immediate needs like PharmaPrix, Dollar Store, Eateries and more. A simple stroll. Group or couple walks because there is homelessness in the area too.

Our stay was great! We were in one of the private apartments. It was clean, the hostel was cute and had lots of amenities and the bar had nightly activities that were fun. Laundry and kitchen facilities were great. Location was good and close to metro. My only complaint is that you only got two coffees in your room every three days and had to buy the rest (we looked at grocery stores but couldn’t find the particular type of pods it took) and that the hot tub was in kind of rough shape. The water was hot but the jets didn’t work. Overall we’d definitely stay again!

The staff were very friendly and the rooms are great! I really loved the bunks and the coziness of them. I just wish that my dorm had dishes, cutlery and etc. because there was a kitchen, but nothing in the cupboards. Anyhow, this was my first time at a hostel too and although I only stayed for one night, this experience makes me more open to trying out other hostels. If I am ever back in Montreal, I would be very open to trying this place out again.
