Very unique and great place to stay friendly staff

Nice neighbourhood, close to amenities and walking trails. The room was nice and roomy with a little fridge and the ability to use the full kitchen.

Sorry, what!?!? $160cad/night for this Absolutely terrible bed and breakfast is unnacceptable. The bed (see pic) is essentially springs covered in a disgusting stained and hairy sheet. The breakfast was non existant, because the grumpy host claimed she hadn’t recieved my text with the desired breakfast time, despite the fact i messaged back immediately when i arrived and also sent notice of timing on expedia. After looking in fridge i didnt want breakfast anyway, milk and other ingredients expired by a week. Bathroom fan filthy. Floor sloped worse than a skate park, toilet seat flopping all over the place, toilet runs indefinitely. Moldy smell in bathroom set off my allergies. Extremely poor lighting (see pic). Every foor creaks so extreme you wake up when anyone in the home walks. To top it off someone claiming to be the owner calls me a day after checkout demanding an etransfer to pay. Phoned expedia who told me it was a scam and don’t send it. Called the owner “andrea” back who lost it and hung up on me, subsequently retroactively cancelled the booking. So incredibly unfriendly, this woman should not be running a bnb. Property looks nothing like the pics, out front is now a rock/building zone. Dilapidated house next to other run down homes. Front door is left permanently unlocked so guests can come and go, meaning anyone can enter and rob you. Guessing new owners took over around 2020 because all reviews prior are awesome and all reviews post 2020 are terrible.

Not enough parking for all guests. Very burnt electrical receptacle in the room. Dogs in kitchen cooking and eating area. Host was aggressively negative regarding other businesses in the area using language that was not family friendly, had questionable hygiene particulary with no handwashing between handling dogs, her hair and food she was serving guests. No railing on stairs. Laundry messily piled in guest areas. Would absolutely not recommend this establishment.

Stayed at Tall Trees Bed & Breakfast in Prince Rupert and had a wonderful experience. The place is cozy, clean, and very welcoming. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast — it was absolutely delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. You can really tell the hosts put care into every detail. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Prince Rupert!

Fun place to stay. You need to enjoy pets as there are other guests with pets and the owner had dogs.

Fresh pressed coffee, and hot muffins from the oven. Clean and very reasonable. Will stay again.

A few Long Hairs on bed . Also left phone charger when check out on Saturday morning, note host right way, responded out of town on weekend, but when Monday evening we come back to get the charger, it's gone.

I travel extensively, both in Canada and internationally, and this is actually the first time I’ve ever written a review. Very disappointing stay. The room did not feel properly cleaned (there were lots of loose hairs on the bed, not just a few), and the “continental breakfast” was nothing like what was described. I understand the host may be busy, but guests should expect better than finding expired milk in the fridge when “continental breakfast” is advertised. The kitchen is not a proper guest space—it’s partly used as the host’s office, with papers and personal items everywhere. It did not feel welcoming or comfortable to use, and any dishes from the host’s dinner or the dog’s food can should have been cleared from the sink for guests. All of this made me feel like I was intruding into someone else’s private space. I checked other reviews to see if I was the only one, and reading the lower-rated reviews, I found that other guests had very similar experiences. Overall, the experience was very different from what was advertised. I would not stay here again.

Clean room

Room clean, cozy and bright. Bathroom could use an upgrade and a few lights fixed. Absolutely worth the money. Great location.

Very clean, staff were great along with being surprised at the room and bath facilities we got with our room. A must stay if you’re tired of the hotel scene and want to experience a place with so much character. Our hostess was lovely and informative. The house was eclectic, very interesting.. I did have concerns first of all the spiral staircase going to the basement did not have a railing to prevent someone from falling into the hole on the floor. In general, the house was not very clean, grease buildup on the stove fan cause the house to smell like old grease. Our bedroom the front room was large with lots of storage space. We had a private bath with a shower and a deep tub they were clean. Our bed was hard and lumpy, the pillows, flat and hard, the micro fabric sheets had no elastic in the corners so they pulled off the mattress, and the duvet cover was ripped and tattered at the bottom, not fitting the bed properly. I feel the hosts may have too much on their plate to ensure the house is well maintained and supplies are in good standing. The price point was slightly high for the quality. Over all we found that our needs were met and the location was good, a nice walking distance to Cow Bay

Room was spotless, amenities are great! Highly recommend!
