Had a great stay at The Simon hotel. The room was perfect for our family of 4. We had a delicious breakfast that was included in our package and our server Michael was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. The front desk staff were also fantastic!

Across 15 vacation days in NS, we stayed in three official hotels and this was our favorite. Better than the ones in Halifax (that promise European styling, oh my!). Every staff member we met was friendly, the room was HUGE and very comfortable, the location was excellent and the appointments in the room were fantastic. TVs that actually work and are easy to connect to. Shout out to check-in associate Sheneca (I know I messed that up! Apologies!! ) who checked us in. Super friendly and helpful. Anytime you can start a stay with a smile, it's a good day. The in-house restaurant was great for us and the breakfast we had was delicious). I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Simon hotel. Unfortunately, we arrived late and left early morning so we only got to enjoy the hotel and not much else. Having said that, the stay was very enjoyable and met our expectations for a premium hotel. There is not much that can be done about it but I thought the lobby was a little compressed for a hotel of this caliber but given the other qualities of Simon Hotel, it is a minor issue.

Because of a medical emergency, I had to book a hotel late at night. We arrived around midnight. The front desk agent got us fresh cold water. The suite was huge and clean. The pillows were the most comfortable I have had in a hotel. The mattress was perfect. Linens were crisp yet soft. So much surface space throughout the suite: long bathroom counter, a shelf behind the counter, a huge desk, a roomy countertop above the refrigerator. There was wine for sale, and it wasn't a bad price. I could read the labels of shampoo, etc., in the shower without my glasses. A handheld showerhead would be much more convenient. The closet had REAL hangers, not those awful post ones. REAL glasses and cups instead of plastic. The only hitch was that because we had arrived so late from the emergency room, we asked for and were given a checkout at 1:00 instead of noon. Instead of checking the record, the front desk started calling at noon while I was on the phone dealing with insurance. Despite that, we would definitely stay again.

The check in was friendly and quick. We appreciated the call to the room while unpacking to ensure we had everything we needed (very nice touch!) breakfast was great and the place was spotless. Really enjoyed having the separate bedroom which gave more space to relax.

We're welcomed by clutters of dirty dusty rusty standup fan and ironing board, very tippy and ready to tip and fall over on the floor and hit you, and it's right beside the door and under where you're supposed to hand your coats, very odd indeed. The photos on the website looks fancy, reality isn't... It is older than in the photo looks. Mattress is almost to soft without back support and my feet hanging at the end edge even tho i am short...they charge for parking $15 plus taxes, breakfast not included in $200+ hotel charge. Shower head has such a weak pressure only like drizzle, and leaking all night making noise waterdrop. Room is cold, cannot adjust the temp, so just turned it off. Very strange with 9.2 reviews, definitely not that high, maybe some paid reviews....location is nice just right at the waterfront boardwalk and sydney sign, but there are a few other hotels in the neighborhood as well for options...shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty...

Very nice centralized property, the hotel is a little dated, and the restaurant is a little limited in its offerings. When we were there for 3 days the AC wasn’t working so it made it a little uncomfortable , but I would stay again.
