Trunk Road Motel

The room had a very strong smell of musty. Look like there was mold around the bathtub.

Need a new shower head in 9. Otherwise, wonderful.

Nicely kept. All amenities in room. Service station and coffee shops in walking distance.

This is an older property, which has been updated and seems well run.

This place seems recently renovated and is a comfortable place for a road trip stop! The room was neat and clean with a few more personal touches and amenities in the room than you expect from a lower cost roadside motel. Overall a lovely stay.

The room and washroom were very clean and looked well maintained. The available appliances worked well and there was coffee, tea, and sugar available too. There were plenty of towels to use and a designated parking spot. The bed was very comfortable and the TV had cable but you can also hook up your Google Cast device. The is a desk, chair and a couch seat too so lots of seating options. I highly recommend staying there.

Excellent experience with the staff, friendly and helpful. Simple, clean, comfortable room; with easy parking right outside the door. Free wifi is a plus too you don't normally see in a motel in this style. The bar & grill next door was an excellent place to stop - great burger & pint combo. I'm not big on all the fancy and niceties of the big chains - I like simple & friendly. Think I've found my new favorite stop in the Sault

Stayed here before and I’ll stay there again

We stopped in Sault Ste. Marie on a cross country road trip and Trunk Road Motel exceeded our needs and expectations! Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and we felt right at home the entire time. Motel is very close to local restaurants, gas, groceries, etc. so we had everything we needed within a short distance. Their dog Nikki was such a sweetheart and added to the already friendly and welcoming environment. We would definitely stay here again when in Sault Ste. Marie.

I am a repeat customer here and appreciate the 5 star cleanliness. If you are looking for amenities outside the room, no pool, gym, bar etc. and a good nights rest is all you need, this is it at an affordable price. For seniors like me, it would be helpful if the bathtub area had grab bars . All in all a good place to stay.

The room was comfortable and clean. Bed was super comfortable as well, I had a great night sleep. The shower had good pressure.

Our stay at the Trunk Road Motel was excellent. The staff were very friendly when we checked in and gave us complementary water bottles. There were designated parking spaces and the room was clean and comfortable. The room amenities were great, with the TV, fridge, and microwave working. The bathroom was clean and had a fan, window, working shower and sink; our only complaint would be that the bathroom door wouldn’t shut all the way. There was also a nice dog watching over the property when we were there. Would definitely stay again if we return to Sault Ste. Marie.

I'm keeping 4 stars as a damage deposit until I receive my $261 damage deposit back. The hotel was very basic, and the manager was flippant about me asking why the damage deposit was so big.
