Great location. Couple block walk to shops, restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. Helped book transport to airport. Simple but good breakfast included. Only complaint, shower occasionally out of hot water.

Room was completely different looking to the one portraited on the hotels.com web site. Too small and the carpet and rest of the stuff was old and not in good condition. A shame because the people working at this hotel is very nice but I can't give a good recomendation. Price was very high compared with the condition of the room; the are charging 2 to 3 times what they should charge.

The hotel was really outdated. We had booked 2 night stay but we checked out after 1 night because the rooms were very small, bathroom extremely small, very old rooms, couldnt find AC remote, no hot water kettle or microwave. Breakfast was very basic- the croissants and baked items were dry and cold.

We booked a last minute stay at Hotel Presidente Santiago as our standby flight was fully booked. It was in a convenient location and at a good price, so we booked through Hotels.com. The booking page stated that they provide a free airport shuttle service, which was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. However, when we spoke to the hotel they said that they didn't provide this service and we had to pay for a taxi ourselves! They also said that they didn't have our booking on record because they don't have the Hotels.com handle and had to keep my credit card details until after the Bank Holiday weekend until they could confirm. Staff were short with us at times but otherwise friendly and helpful.

I booked a room with Expedia and when I arrived, around 11:30 pm, I rang the bell to enter the place and the deskman said I didn't have a reservation and hang the phone without opening the door. I rang a second time (I had payed already!) and he opened not before waiting at least 20 seconds. Once we entered we were greeted with a horrible attitude, coming from someone who had heard nothing from us besides "hello, we have a reservation for tonight". I explained him that I had booked and paid through Expedia and that I had the confirmation mail on my phone, I could show it to him. He said he didn't want to see my mail.. he wanted me to send it to his mail. I did so (twice to make sure) and after a couple of minutes without feedback from him I asked him if he had got the mail and said "I don't know". Well, after a short conversation (where he even said that it wasn't right that we'd payed in USD considering we were Chileans. But Expedia never gave us an alternative!!) he said in a im-doing-you-a-favor tone, "go ahead and I'll fix this". After that I can only say that the place was clean but extremely noisy. And not from outside, but from the people working there the next morning. I would recommend this hotel only in times of war.. besides that, try anything else.. awful experience.

Our stay in this hotel was most pleasant. The front staff were very helpful, and all we encountered were functional in English, and eager to help with my marginal Spanish. Across the street is a large park which serves as a walking conduit to restaurants and shopping. The rooms are small European style, but clean and quiet. The breakfast was good. A good base for exploring Santiago

the majority of staff at this hotel simply don't care about your needs. When I asked the young black-haired waitress a question on a dish, she answered "read the menu". One day the Internet was gone. I really needed it for business. I called the guy at the front desk. He said that they were taking care of it. They did not. After 6 hours, I had to call their supervisor and that's when the technician came in. The Internet service was on and off until the next day. This really ruined my stay in Chile because I had to send a package and I could not walk long distances. They They spread pesticide as a common procedure each time a guest leaves the hotel for good. So you are breathing pesticide all the time. Be aware of opening the closet or breathing when you talk on the phone, cause the pesticide's smell is so strong it can give you a headache. They don't have mosquiteros so mosquitos enter your room in the middle of the summer. Pro's: good and safe location. The cleaning ladies are nice and efficient, specially the Peruvian girl.

The best feature were the staff. They were very helpful and a couple spoke english. The housemaid did a very good job and sometimes left chocolates. The location is good with in walking distance to the Bella vista restaurant area andCerro San Cristobal. The lobby internet was free to use. The breakfast (incl in price) was very good with hot food included. The coffee machine in the lobby was always cold. In fairness this hotel would suit someone looking for a lower priced hotel. The decor is old but it is clean.

The rooms were small but cool and quiet. There is a large fountain nearby that is especially pleasant in the PM. The location was OK and they arranged our hotel transfers though we were made to pay extra for taxi parking. There was free internet and printing and storage of our bags when we left for a few days. The front desk made a mistake when placing a collect intl call and it cost me over $50 so watch out for that. Breakfast was good and they have a nice courtyard for evening dining.

The Staff of this Hotel were magnificent.Mywife broke her ankle in a nearby restaurant and everyone went out of their way to assist her in anyway they could, Especially the waiter Ricardo who was exceptional! The only fault I could really complain about was the WiFi.......their system is a disaster.... each area in the hotel has its own login and password and each floor level has its own login and Password!!! And the server does not function for 24 hours it does not work after a certain hour of the night. The food in the restaurant was very good and the breakfast exceptional. Whatever we requested them to make us was done very well. A very pleasant stay indeed. The elevator is hilarious!!!!!
