Guo Ji Yi Yuan Hotel

Hotel was right by the shopping street and restaurants. Not far from tourist attractions either. Room was clean but AC was very poor. Could not cool down at night at all. Everything was fine. Enjoyed the stay here.

The room is too hot, no AC at all when outside is about 30+degree weather

Staff are very helpful. It was our first stay in Beijing and China so we needed some assistance and the staff were very helpful. The room was a good size and the bed was super comfortable. Bathroom is dated and the shower is over the bath. But other than the shower, everything was great. Loved our stay.

Great location Handy for getting around the city

Excellent area. Right at the Wangfujing walking area which is very busy at night. Lots of options to eat, and shopping too.

I was charged RMB 0.25 for a phone call that was never even connected. The front desk staff tried multiple times and knew no one answered. The night before check-out, 1 was told there were no charges. Yet at check-out, this fee was still imposed. It's not about the amount—it's about the principle. Charging for a failed call and then insisting on it reflects poor service and a money-driven attitude. Very disappointing.

I was very upset about the gym situation. Each time I went to the gym it was closed. I stayed for 4 nights and continuously had to ask about the health club and each time there was an issue as to why it wasn’t open. Also, the pictures do not do justice to the health club. There is no free weight area. Just 2 treadmills and an Olympical. Secondly, my bathroom faucet in the shower was coming apart even after I noticed that the cocking job was done poorly. The room was spacious but our AC was not working properly. The room always felt humid and warm even at max AC power. The windows also do not open. Maybe we just got a bad room but I was very disappointed given the decent reviews. The house keeping staff was fantastic. The best part of my stay was the woman assigned to our room. She was polite, always made sure we had water and kept our room neat. Location wise, it was okay. There are food options close to the hotel and it’s about 10 minute walk to the subway station.

Lovely location, very close to the 8 and 1 train lines and a decent amount of bus stops just to the left of the main entrance. Theres two 7/11's a two minute walk away in either direction aswell as the main wangfujing shopping street. The hotel rooms themselves are large and comfortable though slightly outdated (though it wasn't an issue) - the bathroom tub and shower showed their age the most but the water pressure was good. One thing to note is if you have two king rooms (I was travelling with my mother) you won't be able to have a connecting room, you'll be a room apart as they only do a connecting with a king and two singles.

Common areas were very modern and clean. Rooms were outdated, with old carpets, dated furniture, etc. Nice property for the price and area. Nearby Wangfujing street and train lines. Staff were great

Spacious room.. ideal location..

Very good

The room was really spacious and comfortable. The air conditioner wasn’t responding properly but it wasn’t a problem as it was a bit chilly. The staff was helpful, there was an issue with the lights which they fixed immediately. The hotel is at a five minute walk from a shopping centre area with plenty of restaurants and a tube station (Line 5)

Pool is closed, very old dark building and facility, they had a plumbing repair without notifying us so the water was running brown. Had to stay because I booked non refundable, and the location is central, but there’re TONs of other options steps away within the same price range. Won’t be back.

1st time in Beijing. Stay in GJYY Hotel because it has the great location the “Wangfujing” walking street just crossed the street. Dining and shopping around the areas. Staff are friendly, breakfast is delicious. Because the hotel is quite a bit old, the furniture needs to be replaced & room may need to get renovations. But overall it’s a nice place to stay.

Staff very cold and unwelcoming. The room was a nightmare - TV didn’t work, Internet was horribly unstable, fridge was warm, bedisde lights don’t work properly, 1 coffee sachet for two guests, air conditioning didn’t work - Hotel was horribly hot. Bed was comfortable however.

No weights in gym. Room was dated.
