Capitán Suizo Beachfront Boutique Hotel

The whole entire staff took care of me very well . They made me a surprise birthday cake!! 🎂 PRICELESS

And the best resorts I ever stayed at the staff was exceptional. The food was excellent couldn’t ask for a better vacation and a better boutique hotel.

What a lovely place with very caring staff. The room was wonderful and very well laid out. The ceiling fans and air conditioning really helped with the 90 degree temperatures. The balcony got a nice onshore breeze most of the time. We saw monkeys!!! The proximity to the beach was direct and very walkable to Tamarindo. We met one of the original owners and she shared some great stories of their history.

We booked here last minute after having to leave a hotel near by that was not clean. This place was exceptional. Beautiful grounds, great food and a wonderful staff. We were sad to have to go home after only 2 nights. Highly recommend this hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at Capitan Suizo! The hotel was so clean and the staff was incredibly friendly! There was some construction happening next door, but I honestly didn’t think it was that bad. The howler monkeys are your alarm clock each morning and entertainment throughout the day. The proximity to the beach and town was so easy too! Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Tamarindo!

This was an absolutely awesome stay. The facilities, grounds and especially the staff were outstanding. The flora and fauna were beautiful and the atmosphere was one of total relaxation. Kudos to Capitan Suizo.

No TV in rooms which are kind of dated. otherwise, nice hotel.

Has an upscale very tropical feel. The front desk and concierge arranged airport transportation and excursions for us prior to our stay. Very personalized service throughout our stay. There is no TV on the premises. That was a down side for us, but if you really want to relax and unplug, it's probably a plus for most people.

Spent 9 days at the hotel. The natural setting, well designed rooms and very clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was good and the concierge was great in getting us set up with day excursions. Fantastic massages at the spa!

After spending three wonderful nights at the world-class Nayara Resort in La Fortuna, Costa Rica, we drove to the Pacific coast for a five-night stay at the W Hotel in Reserva Conchal. Unfortunately, the experience was so disappointing that we decided to check out four days early and look for alternative accommodations online. The atmosphere at Capitan Suizo is both understated and elegant, offering excellent value for the level of amenities provided. The hotel is impeccably maintained, with lush, beautiful grounds and outstanding service that makes you feel special from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow just steps from the ocean. The bungalow was beautifully furnished, featuring a private Jacuzzi, an outdoor shower, and a raised canopy bed. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, making mornings truly unforgettable. We enjoyed our complimentary breakfast just steps from our bungalow, which was a delightful way to begin each day. The staff at Capitan Suizo were exceptional, providing warm and attentive service throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out. If you’re planning a visit to Tamarindo, Capitan Suizo Beachfront Hotel is the only place to stay. We highly recommend it!

This was my favorite hotel to stay at in Costa Rica. It is a little out of downtown area which makes it quiet and relaxing. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast in the morning was awesome, the dinner at night on the beach was very relaxing, and the animals that you see at the hotel are amazing. I can't wait to get back.

A beautiful property on the beach. Great swimming options right outside of the hotel. Loved that it was walkable into town but very quiet on this end of the beach. The staff are very friendly and approachable. A really nice place to stay.

The staff was very warm and attentive to any needs. The property is nothing short of beautiful…iguanas, geckos, and howler monkeys throughout the beautiful grounds.
