Friendly staff, great location

The hotel was very clean and safe. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Beachfront view was amazing. Breakfast was out of this world.

Our stay here was phenomenal. The property is so beautiful, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the pools are so nice. The breakfast was super yummy too, so many options. Parking is available too if you rent a car. I’ve seen some poor reviews about service and I really can’t see what those would have been about — we had no complaints!

My experience at this resort was terrible. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The condition of the room was unacceptable. The shower was broken. The toilet seat was broken and the staff was just rude. Extremely rude. I put in a request regarding the room. They never fix the shower so I was never able to take a good shower, I complained about the staff and the service just got worse. This was something I was not expecting especially spending the amount of money that I spent for two rooms the second room. You could hear the plumbing when someone else either flushed the toilet or was taking a shower. It was just all bad I even sent an email out, but never received a response that goes to show that they don’t care. I would love to get a refund.

All around great experience! Stayed 4 nights in late April. Ocean view room was spectacular. It was a clean, well-maintained property. Pools were great for the kids. Family-friendly place that my kids loved. Staff were helpful and kind. Ocean and beach area were great for swimming and enjoying the warm weather. The buffet breakfast was amazing - lots of fresh fruit and tons of options for everyone. Towel service was great and easy to get new towels anytime you needed it. Parking area for my rental car was a bit tight and limited spots but I was lucky to get one and not have to move my whole stay. A lot of restaurants and things to do close to the property, within walking distance. Security on site was great. Highly recommend!

Overall I a good and comfortable stay in Costa Rica. The property itself is beautiful. There are also multiple pools that can be accessed. The beds were quite hard and uncomfortable. The staff weren’t the most knowledgeable for activity and dinning recommendations.

We had an ocean view room, and the hotel photos don't lie. It was beautiful. The pools were clean and delightful, breakfast was delicious and had loads of options. Loved the lagoon pool because even with lots of people in the water, it still didn't feel crowded. And the proximity to the beach just can't be beat.

Excellent location beautiful grounds, breathtaking views...very clean. Quiet hotel but close enough if you want to walk to bars or other restaurants.

The Hotel Tamarindo Diria was amazing. The staff was SO friendly and helpful and the property was beautiful and very convenient. Breakfast every morning was delicious! I would definitely stay there again!

We stayed in a Tropicana room across the street from the main hotel in an all adult area with its own pool and bar. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the staff was very polite and helpful. We had massages on two separate occasions and were very pleased. Watching the sunset from the restaurant at the main hotel was spectacular.

3rd time there and as always a great time. Special thanks to the guys at the Surf School they are doing a great job. Pura Vida!

The property is located in the heart of Tamarindo, on one of the best stretches of Tamarindo beach. It has 4-5 restaurants attached to it, including Italian, a steak house, a fish place, a sushi place...and the most amazing ice cream. The rooms are clean, our ac was a bit noisy but otherwise was doing its job. The pools are clean and the breakfast buffet features tasty fruits, freshly made omelets, waffles and what not. The activities desk is open until 10pm and is very accommodating. Their prices are very reasonable, no need to hunt for deals elsewhere. We had a great time!

Long story short: The rooms require maintenance and updates, the staff was not kind nor friendly, the location is not the best. After staying here and seeing the location + hotel, I would recommend the Westin instead. Long story: When we arrived the fan did not work, the air conditioning did not cool and the shower head had buildup so the water did not dispense from the showerhead. Maintenance called and they had to clean the filter for the AC, change the power bank of the fan head and clean the build up residue of the shower. Thats night one after a long 8 hour flight. I asked the tour desk about the possibility of going to the eco diamante park to see the sloths etc and the woman seemed upset that i was even talking to her and asking her questions about a place i know nothing about in a country i have never been. I would think that even if you cant accommodate you would try to sell something else or give another option but it was just nothing. So all the excursions i ended up booking myself online or on the beach at a great price!! The staff in its whole just didnt seem prepared for tourists. I asked one staff member at guest services if she knew of a dinner show or a place to eat but have live music or dancing etc. she said there is no such thing in Costa rica. We walked two doors down to Walter's restaurant and they had live music followed by fire dancers on the beach. Reception was no help either, same question and same answer. Im telling you, its not worth it.
